Expect to see a hike in gas prices once Rita hits. With it as powerful as it is, it is sure to do some type of damage to the oil rigs. Although I don't think it will spike to $4-$5 like this article says, it definitly will go up. If you need gas, might as well get it today or tomorrow, as the hurricane expected to hit Saturday.

why isn't America using our incredible resources to find an alternative to oil and get rid of our dependency on these scumbags taking advantage of us? between the war and these freakin hurricanes you think the first thing on our minds after the tradgedy would be how to make our country better. these gas prices are freakin killing me, just like everyone else.

I just got back from picking up my daughter and noticed that most of the gas stations had some pretty long lines. I think we may be having another gas rush in the Atl. :dizzy:

MJ,

There are starting to here in very small quantities, with this new E85, which is 85 octane ethanol, made solely outta of corn. I am all for this and this needs to be expanded greatly, this would be great for the economy of the us to have this stuff home grown.
