How do the offshore sportsbooks calculate the payout odds for the derby? Do they use the final posted odds at Churchill, or do they calculate based on their own wagers taken?

They should use the same payouts as the track, except for maybe the exotic wagers.

Thanks, that's what I thought...

That kinda sucks. Placed two wagers at wagerstreet that hit, and the payouts were alot lower than anticipated.

No way to really check or question them.

bosco.....Funny Cide payed 8.20 to show and Empire Maker payed 4.40 to show. Those are based on $2 wagers.

I'm sure not all offshores are the same, but when playing the win place or show, they should match the track odds, even though their money isn't going into the track pools.

Funny Cide paid roughly 2:1, and Empire Maker was roughly 1.5:1

it depends on the book.......some treat it just like a hockey game (payout calculated moment ya place your bet) or some treat it like the track......
