Just imagine if online gambling was legalized in the United States. Instead of 8700 people in the WSOP, there could be 87,000 people. They could have satellites just like offshore and preliminary rounds and then once it gets down to 1000 people or something, transfer it to Vegas. The prize money would be astronomical and the prestige off the charts. Would truly be the World Cup of poker with everyone from the entire world being able to compete. All's they would have to do is make it legal in the United States. But they won't. The surprising part for me is why Vegas hasn't fought to make it legal. They would benefit the most.
