I got the new update for Firefox 1.5.0.1 installed, and I wanted to update my Themes, and when I go to install new ones it says I have software installation disabled, go to options enable and try again, and it give a buttton to go to options, but no where on there do I see anything about software installation.

Can anyone help me out on where this is so I can install new themes and extensions. :cursin:

Thanks,

Just choose theme then close the browser and re-open it.

KMA, thanks for the response, but I need to download the theme first, and when I click on the download button it tells me I have software installation disabled, and I can't find where to enable it.

Firefox 1.5 no longer has a visible option for disabling or reenabling software installation. If yah turned it off prior to the Firefox 1.5 update, here's how yah can turn it back on: type about:config into the location bar and press Enter. This shows a huge list of configuration options. Enter xpinstall.enabled into the filter box above the list. A single entry remains. Double click it to change the value from false (no theme installation) to true (theme installation possible)
