14 Teams, 1 Trophy

Buffalo(-6) over Indianapolis (1*)
- - My capping of this game doesn't begin and end with the Bills debacle of a crushing OT loss after a 16-0 blitz of Houston in last year's playoffs, but it certainly starts right there. IMO, ownership of that common property infuses the entire squad with a depth of purpose that is a very real intangible that can't be claimed by their inferior or by no chance superior opponent. The physical, fast, explosive, stingy and hungry team I have watched down the stretch of this season did not peak last week and will pose the difficult matchups for Reich, Rivers and Indy. And hosting the franchises first playoff game in 24 seasons might also add a bounce to their step during their week of preparation and for the game.

Baltimore(-3)(-120) over Tennessee (1*)
- - Giving Baltimore a rematch of the debacle from last year's playoffs (and a tough to swallow OT loss already this year), and then making them a road favorite after the league has had more than a year to figure them out, may or may not be a good thing for the Ravens. What I do see is a less cocky and more lunch pail Ravens team that has earned this opportunity with some good play down the stretch, and I really, really don't think that Derrick Henry is about to disembowel their defense, and whatever struggles Lamar Jackson may face at QB, I sort of really think it will not fuel a surly, careless and clueless embarrassment. I like Baltimore to carry my cash in this one.

Seattle(-3)(-118) over Los Angeles Rams (1*)
- - A big game rematch between these division rivals could certainly go either way on the basis of just a few decisive plays. While both teams like the way they are getting healthy in some regards, IMO QB Goff is neither healthy nor peaking, and his replacement is not playoff gold. Without doing any research on the norm, I think it is a bit unusual that in stadiums devoid of fans, the Rams lowest scoring defense allows 10 points more per game on the road. The pedigree of Seattle under HC Carroll is strong at home, in the playoffs, and in rubber games and must win games against division rivals, and I'm siding with Seattle to survive and advance with QB Russell Wilson, and I'm not taking whatever value the points might offer.
