G.O.Y.
Minnesota(-5) over Illinois (2.5*)
- - After the emotional resignation of Coach Kill, the next game up for the Gophers was the epic against Michigan. Mine eyes have plainly seen the purpose and ability this team has been imbued with; the return on investment has been three bitter showcase losses against the Big 10's best . . . Illinois has had a romp against Purdue and a mismatch against Ohio State, a garden variety run in their emerging season . . . FWIW, Illinois is 4-13 ATS in their last 17 as a road dog (1-2 TY), while Minnesota is 9-1 ATS under HC Claeys, counting his fill-in games for Kill in 2013 (3-0 TY). And I'd prefer ideal weather over a brutal November blast of winter, but it doesn't change anything . . . It's a deep tank which has fueled this run by the Gopher players and coaching staff, and the unrequited dissonance between rewards and investment ends today. G.O.Y.
