- - Colorado QB Montez impresses me as being capable of doing amazing things when at his freakish best. But I will be shocked if Colorado ends the season with a better winning percentage than Nebraska, and in that vein, this historic lid lifter is not a spot for the visitor to carry my cash.

- - This is a huge game for Iowa State after 3 straight losses in the rivalry. But simply put, I expect QB Nate Stanley leads a very capable Iowa team to an excellent season, and finding a way to secure this huge win at Kinnick will be a huge piece of that puzzle.

- - "Going forward, Nebraska will have the strength and coaching to regularly finish games strong"; there is no ANGLE I bought into from my off season capping that topped that one . . . I rarely look for chances to double down on a second half play, but after outrushing Colorado 243 to 9 yards in the first half, I'm doubling down after the coaching adjustments in this emotion laden spot.
