Game of the Day
Miami -9' over VT 3 units
Clark has corrected the problems and Miami wins by 20. Remember that VT's last win was almost a month ago (12/15/01) over Radford by 7 points and their most recent debacle was being blown out by the Huskies by 35 (95-60) 2 days ago. That had to be a discouraging loss. Even as big home dogs, they will have trouble keeping this close.
Ole' Miss-4 over the Bulldogs. 2 units
Ole Miss beat the only other ranked team to visit their house, a 4 pt decision over Memphis in early December and the "unranked home fav over ranked visitor" trend is too strong to ignore here. Yes, the linesmakers know who really is today's better team here and Mississippi has a 14-5 record vs ranked visitors the past six years and the Rebs are 6-1 at home this year. Rebs have won 5 of L6 at home vs Miss. State. Austin will get his 15-20 for MSU but the Rebs' Harrison's height advantage will hurt PG Zimmerman's game and I look for his TO total to nearly equal his assist total today. Of note is the big drop in Rebs' shooting percentage--from 50 to 38% when the Rebs began conference play this past week. Their last game was a road loss to Arkansas by 11 and I look for a similar loss to Ole Miss.

Kansas-2' over UCLA
Roy Williams vs Steve Lavin. That is all I have to say. No, I also want to remind everyone that Kansas RPI is #1 and that UCLA's start freshman PG Bozeman is still hurt. Also, remember that the main reason the USC game looked so close was a few big 3 pointers near the end. USC was really in control most of that game. Took a lot out of the Bruins I think
Bowling Green-3 over Buffalo
Ill-Chi+4 over UWM. My guess is that Chicago has as many fans as UWM at this game. The ride is an hour up the freeway, and these fans are excited this year. Ill-Chicago outright.
Manhattan -2 over Marist. Jaspers off to a tremendous start and win by DDs here.
