This is my first Hockey post ever but I couldn't resist playing this game tonight:

Ottawa Senators -pick (-135)
over Maple Leafs

The hockey oddsmakers won't be on target with their lines for a couple of games at least and this one is a winner...Ottawa was the Best team in preseason by far and has the perfect team to take advantage of the new rules which favor teams with speed especially at the Defensemen position...the Maple Leafs are a slow team compared to the Senators and their Defensemen are big and slow...the Buffalo Sabres a team which isn't nearly as good as Ottawa exposed the Leafs weakness in Preseason and beat them something like 5-1...the next night the Sabres hosted the Senators and Ottawa beat Buffalo something like 4-2....my point on this whole matter is the new rules really favor a team like Ottawa and I feel it will show in tonight game...the game is only a pick because it's in Toronto...but the Senators are -135...the better and mush faster team wins this one tonight.

Ottawa Senators -pick

I agree with you on this one. This offense got even stronger over the lockout with the addition of Heatley and they already had the best regular season team in the west.

Leafs will be missing Ken Klee, Beliak and Berg on the defensive line. They will probably be bringing up 2 players from the junior club to fill in.

Great start for the Leafs, its not even game 1 and they have 3 people out of the line-up.

GO LEAFS GO!! My money is on Ottawa but my heart.. well..... Don't want to see the Leafs get embarrassed tonight and they won't, should be a good game!

wouldnt base to much on preseason, pens are a good example, half team didnt play most nights and racked up a crappy record, however i think they win tonight once the full team takes the ice, lemuix has stated he wants the team to challenge the all time power play conversion record...
