First look at totals

Just seen some totals for the first time....A couple jumped right of the page at me!!!

No capping done, just seems that Indi/Jax 44.5 is too high, and St.L/Denver 51
May well be a lot of passing but still!!!!

Dunno the history of unders in Week 1, but those 2 and Dallas/Houston under 34 all seem reasonable at a look :shrug:

44.5 for an Indy game is not out of line at all. If anything, it is low compared to last year's totals. Great offence, and no defence whatsoever last year. Even the weakest offences were putting up 20+ against them last year.

Edgerrin James, if he does play, will not be at his best, since he hasn't played a minute of preseason. So that could mean more passing for Indy. Jax's defence doesn't scare anyone....so the Colts could have a field day.

Now the question is do the Jags have what it takes on O to put up a few points?

51 for Denver/St Louis also seems pretty normal. Those low preseason totals mean nothing, St Lou did that last year too, then exploded starting in Week 1.

I've already talked myself out of the St.L/Denver game.

And I think you're right about Indi. Just reading in 4Bubba's forum that Indi really struggling to find anyone to run the ball.....Might well lead to a lot of passing.

It also looks as if Carr will be right for Houston too now!
