FIU -6.5 over North Texas ******* strong play
I've been hitting almost every week my anti- North Texas play.Again this week the Mean Green are in big trouble.
ESPN ranked there top 10 Bottom ten teams of the year...NT ranks No 1
The worst defense in the country.Last week they lost to Rice 77-20. Rice had 56 pts at the half.NT has won 2 games in the past two yrs and its been almost a year from there last win.NT defense has given up 219 pts and 1,953 yds in 4 games.Offense has scored 55 pts but there defense has given up 54 pts. That is pretty amazing..Defense avg is 488 yds per game..ranked last in the country....Pass def..315th..last...pts allowed 54...last in the country,etc,etc
They have 9 freshman that play a lot together..3 seniors...and one of them Miller there top DL is hurt...a true frosh will take his place...in fact the DL has no sacks,cannot pressure anyone,etc..also KR is a new frosh who is starting...NT kicker Knotts has missed 3 extra pts and a FG...he hits line drives..2 of those kicks hit his own off. lineman. I can't make this up...
FIU is one of the weakest teams also going the longest w/o a win in D-1. But lyr they broke the streak...guess who they beat...yep.. NT
FIU upset Toledo last week 35-17..and the week before gave So Fl the scare of there life 19-7.FIU was beaten big time by Iowa and Kansas but there last 2 games there defense held Tol and So FL to 19 and 17 pts.
NT offense is also in trouble.Spread attack isn't working with no pass protection.No running attack,etc..
FIU has McCall a pretty good qb who beat NT lyr breaking the 23 game losing streak. Mccall threw for 3 td's.They run a spread attack w/a TE and an H-back.NT defense will have trouble stopping that.
FIU defense has almost everyone back from lyr including 4 seniors on the DL...
I have this line at -10 to -12....and its -6.5...FIU will win this in double figures...its the weakest team NT will play but FIU is better then there record...and NT at home gives them no advantage what so ever...strong play FIU..

Any Philly people here ... tomorrow Mayor Nutter is visiting an inner city Philly ele school. Bache-Martin Ele...my daughter who is a kindergarten teacher there has been selected as the teacher who will have the Mayor visit her classroom and read a story to her students...she will be on the 5.00 and 6.00 o'clock news...
