#1/This is not a war(pulease don't ask what it is)
#2/You've already given up your freedoms.
........................................................

OK I wont ask what it is.

What freedoms have I given up pray tell.

You sound somewhat cynical.

not leaving until they have the oil. BTW, Bush's career was built on the dead bodies of Americans, from Gov. of Texecution to failure to protect Americans on 9-11 to sending 2,800+ US soldiers to their deaths in Iraq and he has 2 years to go. So that's another 2,000 dead.

I'm not for the way we have executed this convention mindless ground war in Iraq, but you & others are wrong about oil. Yes, some have and will profit of the slaughter of our military, this is bigger than oil. The American oil barons already have their claim and are part of the cartel that squeeze us every day at the pump. This is about Nation building, religion, ideas, planting a virus in the middle east to make the world safe for America. Safe for America means , the way this administration and it's policy makers see and believe the world should be. I don't fault them for their believes and ideas, I do hold them responsible for their careless execution, their any cost mentality, with no regard for those they send to pay the piper for those dreams. There is nothing wrong with ideas and visions of how things should or good be. Without dreams, hope and vision, there is no life. There is something wrong with the abuse of ones power and the disregard for those you send to do the job. I have always believed that a competent leader would not ask of others, what they wouldn't do them-self.

Are you joking? Seriously.

<sigh> I guess i'll ask. How was Saddam a threat to our 'freedoms?'

...............................................................

kosar

I have noticed lately that you do alot of eye rolling instead of answering intelligently. Are you tired of the tet a tet ?

OK so here is the question. How was Saddam a threat to our freedoms ?

Answer -

nuclear%20explosion%20from%20a%20hydrogen%20bomb-300.jpg

Lets say Iraq never happened. Saddam was not found hiding in a hole with a million american cash.

Anyone that does not believe that Saddam would not have sold a nuke to get back at the US just for fawking with him so much, is pretty clouded so to speak.

Lets say this little baby was set off in or near Ft Myers. And all information pointed towards Saddam selling one to a terroist group.

I can just hear kosar now. Holy Shit we should have hanged that Saddam sum bitch years ago.
Why didnt Bush go in there and get him when we had the chance !:nono:

why don't you ever speak out about killing of americans in general.

Does that not bother you so much ?

Or if its americans killing americans then thats ok.
............................................................

can you answer this or just another eye roller ?

If I get any more riled about this thread I may have to pop out the toast on a stick picture for
the proper emphasis.

SA we could added to that. Doctor mistakes estimates add another 4000. Many lawyers love those numbers. Auto mishaps 40000. We see to just get in each others way. But those soldiers we sent on a need less mission. And that's is a different side of the coin. All deaths mentioned above are sad and in most cases stupid. But those who send folk to there death on lies. They are the worst.

Scotty,

Perhaps your memo got lost in the mail, but Saddam did not have nukes, had no program, had no facilities and had no material related to producing nuclear weapons.

This admin was gambling that he still had some 10 year old nerve agent that we gave him to use on Iran rotting away in a barrel somewhere.

Our clown-in-chief pointed to a 100 year old balsa wood drone that was used by Saddam to monitor Iran and tried to tell us that this was possible to use as a delivery method of nukes to the US. He used the term 'mushroom cloud' as he gravely pointed to this wind up toy. And hey, whaddya know, 3 years later you're posting a picture of a mushroom cloud! Fear and panic, Scotty!

How about those 'mobile chemical weapon labs' that actually were simple cargo trucks? I'll bet you were hiding under the bed with gardenweasel when Colin Powell went in front of the U.N. pointing at little dots from his satellite photo informing everybody that the end would be near if we don't invade.

So in other words, Saddam couldn't sell something to terrorists that he didn't have, let alone the fact that he hated the 'terrorists' as much as he hated us. Why would he sell a weapon like that to a bitter enemy who may just as well use it on him? Makes no sense.

Uh in war service people get killed.

We are in the war to preserve the freedoms we all have here in the US. If you can't see or believe that then I pity the fool.

I said this long time ago but I will say it again.

I wish we would not pull out, but pull back.
Dont do so many excursions into the streets. Set up bases and sit outside the cities. Let them bastids come to us. Its too easy for snipers and roadside bombs to kill our troops.

Not a pull out, pull back.

Thats probably too simplistic for our Generals.

Why don't you take your yellow chickenhawk ass over there.

.

What is this list? Got a period of time to go with it? Whatever you are trying to show, will be completely destroyed when we break down per capita stats compared to Americans in Iraq.

We did this over a year ago, when the pace of killing was actually less in Iraq. When compared to only the most dangerous city in the US (maybe Detroit at that time), a person was still 50 times more likely to be killed in Iraq (I'm sure Baghdad was more like 100 times).

So put your little lists away - they never hold up.

"Cancer too, no?"
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

No Matt cancer is not actually a preventible disease.

Aids and drive bys would be easily preventible.

A person could easily have society relatively free of aids and gangs/crime however cancer is not preventible for most part.

Surprised you couldn't see the diff without beng told ;)

Listen buttercup.

Give me a .50 caliber and I will go over gladly and snipe some insurgent asses. whitefeather style.

Eye for a eye so to speak.

I would plant IEDs in every insurgant city and let them get blown to shit every day for about a month.

I would run car bombs into the center of their areas and remotely bomb them every day.

But thats just me.

This is why what your saying is so fawked up and illogical to me.

Saddam had over a year to allow the UN inspectors to come in and inspect. Fawking years he played the same game. Saddam laughed at the international community. He would allow inspectors in , and then not let them in certain areas. Why ? Not because he had something to hide, but because he didn't ! The crazy fawk.

Why did Saddam not let them in ? Pride ? He didnt want to show his cards to his enemys ?
He was embarressed he and his sons did not have any wmd's because they wasted their time raping little girls and torturing the population on a whim.
What a guy that Saddam.

Saddam is and was insane.

You honestly think Saddam was one of the good guys that deserved to be left alone to his continuing dictatorship until he could invade another Kuwait ? How much did that one cost us ?
Or did you conveniently forget about that little war.

Or do you like the part where Saddam was paying off suicide bombers 20 grand to the families, for bombing US allies.

How do you explain that ? How could we allow that to continue. Even that one thing should have hanged his ass years ago.

All that fawker had to do was let the inspectors in and they find nothing and he stays in power until he dies, continuing to rape, kill, torture his own civilians. And collect US currancy and build more gold palaces.

But no. Saddam couldnt or wouldnt. The US did what we had to do. History will show this to be true.

I thought you had more of a ability to rationalize facts kosar. Instead all you can do is whine about casualties and how the US has no business in Iraq.

Maybe I need smurph in here to give me some facts about things.

Yeh its usually when he cannot think of any
pertinent argument for his side.

Please. There's not another person that posts in this area that has spent as much time as myself in elucidating his opinion.

The 'rolleyes' tend to come out when I don't feel like typing the same exact thing that had been ignored the previous 22 times. It seems that while I often go down somebodys post point by point, very rarely does anybody reciprocate(not even just point by point-not even ONE point), although I sincerely do understand the reason for that.

That said, i'll try to address your other post when I get a second. And as usually happens in here, you'll probably just ignore it and move on.
