Do you know why G.V.Ranch has not credited my account ? I played Philly RL ? It was called after a full 8. Isn't a game official if it goes 5 innings? I also played it over and it went over after 5 innings also

Was wondering same thing at Olympic....checked the rules and games for runlines are official after 8 1/2 innings if home team is winning and 9 if visitors are winning. Same rule applies for totals. Got a push on runline and total....

That's bullshit ... I got screwed as well on the over. I am withdrawing my $$$ from my account and finding a book without those lame fawking rules.

Anyone know of a book who would rule this in a more fair manner? I mean if you take an over and the game is official and it wins, you should get the win whether the game was completed or not. THAT'S FAWKING BULLCHIT and I am pissed.

You may not like it but: If you have Over 9 1/2 and the game is called after the sixth with the score 5-4, you will get a push. Logically, you are correct and the game probably would have gone over. But in real life that game is an under, and you lose. Except this little rule saves your butt this time. They need to have one rule to cover all such outcomes, and this is it. In the game last night I too had Philly on the run line, but what if they play the top of 9 and Cinncy scores 2, still lose 10-9 and all of us on the run line lose. You never know what would have happened.

this is the rule, always has been the rule and always will be the rule with EVERY BOOK, EVERYWHERE, FOREVER.

When wagering on Total Runs, Interactive, Run Lines, and all Proposition bets the game must go 9 innings (8 1/2 if the home team is ahead) to have action

On the course!
It's true, fellas!

To me, it is one of the stupidest rules I have ever heard of, but it is standard throughout the industry.

Why is it stupid?

Well, why should you get paid if you lose a wager on a game that doesn't go the distance, but get a "refund" on the total if it has already surpassed the number?

I would really like to know who came up with this "rule", and why every stinking shop has adopted it!?

I would think some book would set the bar a little higher, and do the right thing. Also, I have been on the shitty end of this stick many times, and NEVER been on the lucky end! How is that for shit luck?

So, you can have a 12-11 game in the top of the sixth get called, and the guy with the 12 gets a win. Four innings to go, but the book assumes that the team winning would win it. A million things could happen, and either team could win, but this is what you have to live with.

Now, same game, and you have an "over" ticket. This game IS "over"! Went over a long time ago, and there is no way it can go back under. It is cut and dried. There is no fiking way yoiu can justify cancelling this wager, yet every house does! You tell me why? Who decided this would be the standard, and WTF for? :nono: :(

Don't give me the "It balances out" bullshit, either! I get into this every season, and will get into it again next year, sure as shit stinks.

It is easily the most idiotic and unfair rule in the industry.

As I stated in another thread, I lost the Cincy wager, and have to live with getting my money back on an over that was completed 4 hours before the game was called. Should have been a split evening, but I get fuked. I would just love to get an "under" refunded once, and maybe I would feel better.

It has to go 8.5 if your playing runline and home team is up and 9 full if home team is down, all people should get their money back, and no off-shore will have a different rule and if a off-shore does not give you back your money they need to be called and demand your money, does not matter if you had either team on runline and also totals money has to be refunded.

So, the Phillies GET their WIN because it goes the 5 innings needed to quailify for a for the victory
There must have been quite a lot of money on the Phillies RL, and the over 9.5 since there wasn't but a few games played yesterday.
Sure seemed they were determined to get the game in. To wait that long to restart the game and play till the very last inning and then call it instead of wrapping it up makes you wonder :nono:

All that was needed was 3 outs and i'm sure Cin. at that point would want to get back to Cincinatti asap for their game vs Texas. Hell, they needed 4 runs to take the lead with their last 3 outs. And the way the game went every time the Reds got a run, Philly came right back to take the lead. They knew they wern't going to win that game. That was :bsflag Finish the last 3 outs!

Exactly ... Wagner was going to mow them down anyway in the 9th so why not finish it after getting that far. It's BS ... I agree 100% with yyz. I don't care what the rule is ... the rule is bogus. Like books don't make enough $$$ ... they have to screw us every which way possible.

I can understand the middle number because of the potential of an under going over in the last few innings.

But, its the g'damn runline..if it is an offical game and the moneyline cashes..the f'ing runline should count too. Ok..I am done bitching.

I fell asleep during rain delay of 7th inning 7-6 Phils watching ESPNnews...woke up at 2:30 and watched the scores flash up with one eye..the ticker said 10-7 FINAL....I went "Yea..WINNER"

Woke up to a PUSH

I agree. IF the total is below the number when the game is called, refund all total wagers. Yes, it would suck if your sitting on 1-0 in the 9th, and they give you your money back on an "under" ticket, but the fact remains........it could still go over. Case and point, the Yankee game this weekend that was 2-0 with 2 outs in the ninth. It gets tied, and each team scores a shitload in extra innings.

BUT, when the total has been surpassed already, the wager should be complete! You can't erase runs, so no matter what happens, the over should be a win, and the under a loss.

The only person out there who doesn't believe this, is the clown who made the rule!

You cannot make any compelling argument in defense of this rule, as it is totally ass backwards.

IMO, all wagers involving a team should be refunded if the game is shortened.

Who's the clown here? I've been betting baseball for 30 years. This rule has always been in place.

That just means you've been getting screwed for about 20 or so years more than I have.

The rules sucks no matter how old it is ... of course, it in the books favor but what isn't.

Good Luck!
