My wife and I are really settling into marriage when an entire hour is taken up with the conversation of "Flip" or "Flick" the bird.

Yes, this is referring to raising one's middle finger to communicate an obscene feeling.

This is what I expected. My wife and her crazy ass cousins (you have to excuse them, they're from TN) were all against me on this.

They said it was because I was a redneck from KY and didn't know what I was talking about.
