Anybody in the flooring industry here?

We are replacing the flooring (currently carpet) in the kid's playroom, and my wife is dead set on cork flooring. There are people that claim that it is "softer", but that shit feels pretty hard to me.

I've read so much BS info on this stuff. I'm giving up. If anyone has experience on whether cork is a good choice or not, I would appreciate it.

We put these on the floor and they are nice and soft. I don't know about absorbtion, as we just put them down on the cement floor as cushion between our laundry room and the kids play area

I asked my wife and she said there is a plastic coating on top, and it would minimally absorb. The biggest area of concerns would be if there is a lot of water and it leaked into where they connect.

I would look around for prices, they are much cheaper than the link I sent.... I know they sell them at target
