Here is one thing that really stood out for me in the Alabama vs Auburn game

3rd down efficiency 5-14

Against a Auburn defense that has been pummeled in too many games this year,
Alabama is only able to convert 5 of 14 first downs. And they also failed on a fourth down attempt.
.................................................................

Alabama Vs Kentucky

3rd down efficiency 8-17

.................................................................
Alabama Vs South Carolina

3rd down efficiency 9-19

4th down efficiency 0-1
.................................................................
Alabama Vs LSU

3rd down efficiency 4-14
........................................................

Alabama Vs Tennessee

3rd down efficiency 5-14

4th down efficiency 0-1
............................................................

Total third down % = 28.4 %
:scared

I know you can say, yeh so what. Alabama won every game. But what I am saying here is that this third down efficency rating, in a SEC championship game, where points are first downs are at a premium to keep the ball out of Tebows hands.

OH SHIT !
..................................................................

Then lets look at the other side of the coin. The Fliorida Gators really need a first down. The game could be on the line. Can you say Timmy Tebow.

OH DOUBLE SHIT !

Ingram, the SEC's leading rusher, bruised a hip against the Tigers and sat out most of the game-winning drive. But Saban said he expects him to be healthy against Florida.

"I think he'll be fine," Saban said. "We don't think he has a significant problem. Those things are a little bit painful, especially when you first get them. It was late in the game when it happened and he never really had an opportunity to go back in. But we'll see more (Monday) and how he moves around in practice. But we feel like he'll be fine for the game."

Ingram was held to 30 yards on 16 carries Friday. He probably will need a much better performance against the Gators to have a shot at winning the Heisman.

I was pretty shocked with the outcome of the Aub/Ala game...because everybody had run on Auburn. Either there was something to it, or Alabama already had their mind on Florida? I guess we will find out this weekend.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. Top-ranked Florida could be without one of its best pass rushers against No. 2 Alabama in the Southeastern Conference championship game.

Defensive end Carlos Dunlap was arrested early Tuesday and charged with driving under the influence, just days before the biggest game of the season.

Points won't matter. FL. wins this one by 10 +

Bama won't be able to move the ball that well, nor will they be able to keep up with the speed of Gators. I have had bama lot of times this year more totals then sides, qb play will be a big problem for them, they have not had a test from anyone like what the off. will face for bama. The deff. for bama will get wore down by being on the field to long in a hard physical played game.

Take the Gators up to -6.5 post thanksgiving day gift from me:mj06:

Somehow I bet this guy plays.

Even if he don't , Florida has fill in players that are just as good.

History

Obtain a detailed history, including the mechanism of injury and the patient's description of his or her symptoms. A hip pointer is usually an acute injury, and the patient can typically recall a precipitating event, although some may present 24-48 hours after the initial injury.

Hip pointer injuries are usually caused by a direct blow to the iliac crest or greater trochanter in contact sports such as football or hockey.
A hip pointer may also be caused by a fall onto the hip in sports such as soccer or skiing.
Typically, the patient presents with the sudden onset of hip pain in the iliac crest or greater trochanteric region after sustaining trauma.
The pain is localized and may be exacerbated with activities such as running, jumping, twisting, or bending.
The pain can limit range of motion (ROM) at the hip joint and/or rotation of the trunk if the abdominal musculature is involved.

Physical

Physical examination in a person with a suspected hip pointer should include abdominal examination to exclude trauma to intra-abdominal organs. Examination should consist of visual inspection, palpation, passive and active ROM assessment, sensory testing, and gait analysis.

Contusion or swelling may be evident upon visual inspection. The athlete usually reports increased pain with palpation of the affected iliac crest or greater trochanter. Limited ROM of the hip secondary to pain may also occur.
Motor strength of the hip flexor and extensors should be intact. Strength of the hip abductors and external rotators may be limited by pain if the contusion includes the sartorius muscle and/or the iliotibial tract.
Sensation should be intact to light touch, although this portion of the examination may be limited if the patient has severe pain.
Initial gait analysis may also be limited secondary to pain, but it provides a baseline from which to evaluate recovery.

What Is The Treatment For A Hip Pointer Injury?

For immediate relief, follow the treatment plan. Rest from aggravating activities for the first 1 to 2 weeks, is the only real way to heal a Hip pointer.
:scared
Ice and medication can be helpful to reduce pain and inflammation for the first 7 to 10 days after the injury. :scared :scared

It's important that the athlete not return to quickly to activity. If he still has pain or tenderness, he is liable to compensate by altering his gait and technique. The result is another injury to another body part. :scared :scared :scared

OH SHIT !

.....................................................................

Ingrim looked bad on the sidelines. I am sure he will play, but one good whack on the hip for the Florida defense and .......... oh oh

I know Bama has some other good running backs, but lets face it, Ingrim is the best player on the field.
