any one of these systems at this website that you would recommend over another? FDC suggested one that looks promising--and cheaper than some of the others--but its always good to have another opinion or two...

The pansat system is difficult to maintain as it seems to have lots of problems. The one I suggested is the fortec lifetime ultra it seems to be the most reliable. If you want to go with DTV because some think it to be cheap then I suggest you do that however I happen to like Hockey, football, baseball, basketball, college football, college basketball, ultimate fighting, boxing, movies new and old...........I think you get my point.........that kind of taste my friend is not cheap................not by any stretch of the imagination. As I stated earlier, go to the website I mentioned earlier and read as much information as possible and then go from there. If you currently have DTV you can still use that set up but will have to relocate the dish and maybe add an lmb while obtaining a diseq switch which you can get on ebay for about ten bucks

The main thing when deciding what reciever to get is read as much as you can and then decide on whats best for you.
If you decide to buy off e-bay (which I did) make sure that the seller has a feedback rating of no lower that 98% and there feedback score is in the thousands. It may cost you a couple of dollars more but will save you from getting ripped off.
When you order..look for the ads that INCLUDE the diseqc switch and the data cable.(You will need both) If you want to save a lot of time trying to find the sattelite invest the $15 in a sattelite finder. Well worth the money.
