By forfeit.

I feel bad for both sides. The boy doesn't want to "fight" a girl and the girl just wants to compete. Don't they have Home Ec at this school? :0corn

It's the first time in Iowa. Girls have won State tourney matches in other states. In 2006 I was at the Wisconsin state meet and a girl made the championship match (and did so by winning, not by some kid afraid to lose to a girl forfeiting to her each round). She qualified for State as a sophomore, junior and senior.

I'd like to know what his "religious" beliefs are that preclude him from wrestling a girl. Does he think he's never wrestled a homosexual? If so, better buy a lottery ticket, cause you're damn lucky, son.

Religion is just the old standby.......use it whenever you can't make sense of something.

Starting to see more of this myself.

One of my guys resigned yesterday. Solid employee, so I asked him to reconsider. He said that he was tired of being dogged by our main client, and that god told him to to move on. Since jobs are tight in these parts at the moment, I asked if he had another position lined up. He replied that he preferred to resign and leave his next opportunity in god's hands. :sadwave:

Why do girls and women want to compete in the mens league? They have the womens league for christ sakes. Leave us the hell alone in our own sport, you can't beat us anyway. Sheese!

Yeah, so do I but I was mainly speaking of the PGA. Why do they have to try and get into the PGA, NHL, whatever? You know what I mean.

Jack, I know you just said that to stir things up but if a girl wants to participate in wrestling, there aren't a lot of options for her. I doubt there are many schools that offer girls' wrestling. It is a sport where it is evenly matched by weight and, apparently, girls can beat boys or she wouldn't have qualified to even compete at the state tournament!

Call me old fashioned then, but my grandaughters will not be wrestling on the boys wrestling team. The boys wrestling team is for the boys.

I don't care how good they are, they should be playing with the girls :0003

this is ridiculous..p.c. run amuck...why not let them participate in boxing vs the men...mma....

this isn`t golf or tennis...

agree with jack....everything`s about the girl...nobody gives a damn what the boys might think or feel.....forget religion....i know when i participated i couldn`t have fought a girl...i just couldn`t do it..i`m not wired that way...

bad idea....

It's all fun and games until one of them gets seriously hurt, then you put that on the boy that does it in the name of equality. What a joke.
