The Godfather... I will ice pick Luco and gun down Sonny on the LIE soon enough...

Scarface.... Say hello to my little friend... (not just a line for my wife before the 30 second mambo.)

College Football 2006.... Finally V Tech will win every season.. (no bad pass interference calls to save USC this time...)

MADDEN 2006.... Ahhhh can you say multiple orgasms??? just to beat the stupid time practice game situations will be a welcome sight..

ANYONE ELSE EXCITED BY THESE OR KNOW ANY INSIGHT

Why would you say that was a bad pass interference call when you and everybody else did not see the play from the same angle the ref who threw the flag? ESPN never once showed the angle from the sidelines where the ref was standing.

2nd, how could you say that was a bad PI when replay clearly shows the V-Tech WR putting 2 hands on the USC DB. Technically that is a PI because a WR is not allowed to put 2 hands on a DB. Sorry, but the V-Tech WR had 2 hands on USC DB. That is a fact! Now we do not know how much or if at all the WR pushed off. That we don't know. We do know the USC DB over-ran the play, was it his momentum or was it partially because the V-Tech WR pushed off? All we do know is that the WR had his 2 hands on the USC DB and the Ref called a PI from an angle YOU DID NOT SEE because ESPN never showed replay from the refs viewpoint. But what we did see from the ESPN replay was the V-Tech WR putting 2 hands on USC DB.

Not a bad PI call. You could argue call could go either way but the "facts" are against you AND you did not see same viewpoint as ref. Wishful thinking. V-Tech played hard but would have lost with or without that PI call. BTW, I think V-Tech playing USC helped the hokies win the ACC. All summer I think they put extra effort conditioning and practices to try and upset the #1 team in the country. Previous years they might have slacked off tad because they opened up against crap OOC opponnent. Props to V-Tech accepting to play USC who was ranked #1 pre-season. Although it was home game for V-Tech.

Sorry, no way was I going to let Hokie Fan get away with that ridiculous comment.

Hey Scott lighten up buddy....
Yes USC won and you were the better team, yadda yadda, yadda

The comment was more to show my excitement to retreat to my basement and play x box than a slam on USC..

I just couldnt think up another line to say...

You guys won Fair and square

Good lord dude..

I know you spend alot of time defending the Pac ten and USC but man I meant nothing by that comment as I said above...

Wow you are in mid season form already .....

Sorry if I offended you..

Good lord Scott! You won the game for cryin out loud. One humorous line having to do with an X-Box game gets that much rebuttal? Sheesh.

....and I'm not just sayin' cuz I too am a diehard V-Tech fan. I fully support Hokie's intention of having the Hokies win every game. :)

I took no offense to it (and I sorta knew you were making a joke) but had to settle the record straight. I have read many times on MJ's from people wrongly thinking USC got free pass on that call when it simply is not true. Might not have been a PI but I don't think anybody can argue it was a blatant bad call.

BTW, I root for V-Tech. I like the way they play and their coaching staff. Yes, I am ready for CFB! Fall practice is less than a month away! Good luck to your team this season.

Scott
I am glad you got the tone of the "for losers like me" thread
I just like kicking it away from the kids and wife a roo and play a bit.
For a guy who never had an atari, sega, nintendo, pong..
(I did have a Commodore 64 thank goodness) I can think I am the cool kid in 3rd period study hall now....

I would wish you good luck also but I dont think a team as loaded for Bear (Golden???) as USC is needs much luck...

I had a Commodore 64, it was my first computer. I loved the games on it. My 2 favorite games were the bouncing ball game where you popped balloons on top of screen. Other was a bowling game. After that I got Nintendo and gameboy, then Nintendo 64, but for some reason I stopped after that. I sorta lost interest in video games and I have no idea why.

Lived in Blacksburg when I was a kid and first watching football. My parents met as students there - so I guess you can say I owe the school my life! :) Still have plenty of relatives in SW Virginia. Are you familiar with Floyd County? Couldn't shake the polytech thing as I ended up going to Cal Poly. Mustangs football isn't quite as good as the Hokies though.

BC huh? Did they let you root for Va Tech or did you have to keep in on the down low?

Unfortunately BC really doesnt show the passion for the game of football that southern schools (and Scott ) show, so they really dont care...

I guess you do owe your life eo VT...

Great story,,, always nice to meet another member of Hokie Nation...

Do you ever get back to Blacksburg???

I organize a game a year that the relatives go too.

Was at the VT/ USC game last year.

I just hope Tech has a great season and Marcus can keep away from the 14 year olds.. (not that you can blame him (LOL)

Ever hear of Arnolds or Sharkys??

Unfortunately most of my time in Blacksburg was as a little kid, and then mostly just passing through afterwords on the way to Floyd. Never really hung out there as an adult or enjoy the fine college scene.

That's pretty cool getting a game together. I don't think my relatives have the organization skills required for that. :)

Yeah, R. Kelly ...errr, Marcus Vick better keep away from them pubescent Appalachian girls this time around. They are reserved strictly for cousins and siblings! :mj07:
