I would hate to be the 1st cat to pay their insurance bill at the office the 27th, then get locked up and have the car impounded the 28th on their way to pick up the kids from school.
As it stands today you can renew your registration @ a grocery store or where ever and you have to provide proof of insurance. Now they are saying that the TXDPS registration database will be synced with the insurance providers database to ensure that person is current @ the time a person gets pulled over? Personally I think this ties more to the bill that just passed in regards to tolls on interstates (which is another tax/tarrif). Just another orwellian method to track people. Throw me crazy, but this should reduce insurance premiums because due to uninsured cars will not be on the road......YEA RIGHT!!
