For the sake of the 30+ viewers AND the hours I put into studying Sunday's hosses that never ran... here's what I got for today (1/31). IF THOSE bastages cancel today - they can kiss my :00x5 and they ain't getting any more of my business. (well, for at least a week).
Philly Park
4th Race
Clearly a "magic nos. special".. ya gotta BOX 1-3-6 trifecta. If that no. 3, whose favored, wasn't a dang Guerrero trained horse, he could be thrown out and that would make this race a worthwhile betting opportunity methinks. The nos, 1 and 6, both 8-1 M.L., are THE horses in here. I looked for reasons to just play them my usual way (wheel one tp/bot. and play the other Win/Place) and leave out C.G.'s horse but I can't find one. His record for OFF tracks is 37%, looked at the layoff angle.. nope, his record for horse that have taken around a mo. and half off is 40%. This guy's regular WIN record is 42%. I AM gonna play whichever one looks better between the 1 and the 6 some way or another besides the tri box.
6th Race
My nos. say the 1A (6-1) wins for fun. I say he wins but it ain't gonna be for fun with that no. 9 wabbit in this race who will press him real good. The wabbit figures to fold in the stretch but I'm seeing that he loves off tracks (Philly Park is "Puddle City"), 5 starts on them, won 4 and ran 3rd in the other. Funny thing is that he can't even make it for 4 1/2 furlongs without tiring down the stretch. The sloppy track races musta been over a year ago so I can't see them. Here's what I come up with...
No. 1A, play him like you mean it W/PL/Show (3x the win play) and/or ...
play it this way -> play him, zacta boxes with the 2,4,7,9 and on the side no 8 Win/Place to back it up. The no. 8 is 5-1 so it should be doable.
7th Race
Verly interlesting race, but nearly impossible to come up with anything solid. Super competitive. Well, cept for one of the horse's that is. But I am quite familiar with these hosses so I gotta do something.
Nos. say there's another EASY winnah in here, the no. 2, who is the morning line Fav. Yeah, he's trained by U know who.
I say he looks absolutely SOLID too.
But there are some very nice pricey ones (full field in this race) that may hit the exacta with him. Sooo..
No. 2 in zactas, top/bot w. 1,3,4,5,7,9. Yeah, I know that's a lot but again it's a big field and you know how this place pays.
Prob. a play in the 10th but I''m done for now. Hell, they may not even make it that far.
