appreciate your knowledge of tiger hoops. grice does have a rodney newsome quality to him. i was at the pyramid when newsome hit 5 3pt's in a row against cincy. # 6 was from about 30 ft and it rimmed out. the current tiger squad can light it up from outside. however, being a fan; i have watched every game this year- a few in person. this tiger team could play with just about any team. the weakness of this crew is their ft pct. and their propensity to shoot too many 3's. except for massie, their is not one player(regular) that shoots better than .450 from the field. far too often, this team collectively, shoots from the outside rather than exhibiting patience and looking for a better shot. on sat. grice hit 6 of 10. the rest of the team was 3 of 13. this includes one of our centers earl barron. he personally was 0 for 2.

Elvis: I finished auburn in 2000, yet i'm probably the biggest memphis tiger fan you will meet for not even going to school there. I was born and grew up in memfrica. I just moved to aussie three weeks ago to work their cotton crop. I saw two games in person The cuse game at the garden and the illinios game at the toom. We had dinner with coach cal and the team in NYC and that early you could tell this team was different than others. This is the best tiger team i can remember. They are deep as any team in the tourney. Burks is the third best PG in america behinf Price and Ford. Who would have thunk Big Red would have come in a contributed like he did this year? Earl is my boy even though he makes me want to cry sometimes with his efforts. Grice is by far most improved and Rice is the most stagnant in my opinion. Carney and hunt are something to build on, especially if big boy Kendrick Perkins doesn't pull out like Qyntel and Amare did. Our FT shooting scares me because it is on and off with no consistency. We will have to shoot well to beat Kansas(assuming we beat Rob evans squad), b/c collison and others will double massie all day long. We will see!
