Less than a minute had passed since the Michigan football team beat Connecticut, 30-10, in the season opener and sophomore quarterback Tate Forcier appeared to make his decision.

Through his words and his body language, he had no interest in remaining at Michigan. When asked if he had a minute, he responded with those eight words.

Those eight words said a lot.

In my mind Rich Rod wanted to free up a schollie so figured he would force the kid out by that move instead of having him be 2nd string.

Forcier?s dad says his son isn?t leaving Michigan

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP)?Tate Forcier?s father says his son is not transferring from Michigan.

Wolverines quarterback Tate Forcier told annarbor.com, ?All you need to know is I?m out,? after quarterback Denard Robinson led the Wolverines to a 30-10 victory against Connecticut on Saturday.

His father, Michael, says it is a ?150-percent fact? that his son is staying at Michigan.

Tate Forcier started every game at quarterback last season as a freshman, but wasn?t one of two QBs used by coach Rich Rodriguez in the season opener.

Robinson made his debut as a starter and accounted for 383 yards and two touchdowns. Freshman Devin Gardner replaced Robinson when he briefly left the game after getting hit hard.

Michael Forcier says his son was simply frustrated.

All this crap aside, I don't understand why Rich-Rod doesn't Red Shirt that frosh and let Forcier take the #2 spot. Robinson is going to get banged up and Forcier will get his chances. I just don't get the strategy. Rich Rod can't think that the Frosh will help save his job if/when Robinson goes down.

Agreed. It makes little sense. Longterm, I see no reason to play the frosh this season, but I do not think RR is thinking longterm given his tenuous position.

No he hasnt. And ur right he will play one series so RR can screw him and then he cant take the redshirt this year. I would definetely get the hell out of there if i was him.
