Had a friend and his wife over for a few days . They are Formula 1 fans big time. This Sunday is the F-1 race here in Austin and they are attending the race. We watched the Netflex series "Drive to Survive" s on Formula 1 and it was enlightening since I really don't know much about Formula 1. So TM my friend from NY and F-1 expert who worked for the Knicks,Nets and Giants gave me his expert analysis.. The 1st thing he said was " I don't bet" He used to train trotters in NY and saw all the cheating going on around him with the horses. But I did tell him I'm betting and break down this weekend .
Hamilton is the winner . These all all quotes from TM so I don't need the quotes to use the " Hamilton has womn over 100 races that is unheard of. He has won at every track he has driven on. He manages his tires better then anyone and owns almost every F-1 record . We we here 2 years ago when he came in 2nd to Bottas in Austin. I asked him what longshots have a chance since Hamilton is a prohibitive favorite

Sainz spanish has a slim chance. has a good engine is the longshot pick but its freally a long long shot.
Verstappan should come in 2nd and really hamiltons only real threat Car is slower. TM thought he would be the favorite
Bottas= has little chance won 2 yrs ago
Perez- strong car manages his tires well
Riccardi - car not as good
Giovanni no chance only there because Italians don't have anybody
Mazzepin new russian who bought a drive
Schumaker old timers won 4 races to old
Leclaric french has a shot possible
Stroll if its a wet track dangerous but weather report is no rain.
He mentioned a few more Gsley,Russell,Alonzo Vetter,Latifi, Norris etc he gave me their positives and negatives. But again Hamilton is the best and should win. He has Mercedes Car and is the best driver by far. I'll put 4*'s to win 2*'s Odds are so good but I'll go with my buddy / As he was leaving my house tonight he asked his wife who also knows F-1 ' Jeannie who wins this" Her answer was Hamilton " Thats enough for me

Blue Ribbon basketball preview arrived yesterday so going to spend all my time breaking down the college hoop season. Will still capp football like UTSA,North Texas,Texas,Tex St Army and a few more.

UTSA -6.5 over La Tech *****

Roadrunners are 7-0 and finally ranked 24th and 25th in the polls But Like what UTSA coach said " we were the hunter and now are the hunted . UTSA defense has stepped up big time. They always had an offense with harris at qb, Sincere the best running back in the country that no one ever heard of. and 3 Wrs that can catch it and break one deep. Again they have the most returnering starters back from last year 21. They just destroyed Rice last week, OL and Dl are outstanding. La Tech is down this year but at home always dangerous . Traylor the HS coach who everyone questioned about starting a D-1 program at UTSA is so down to earth.. he was a guest on the Jim Rome show the other day and so down to earth. Getting all this national recognition and one of 12 teams undefeated . After getting ranked last week Traylor went down to the Union Building on campus and gave out tacos to the student body during lunch. He has his kids focused on La Tech and with Harris throwing the ball to his 3 wr's and has sincere McCormick as his half back La Tech is in big trouble. Utep beat La Tech and they cancelled school for a week . Celebrating.. UTSA defense has some blue chip 2 star HS athletes that are playing like 4 star athletes. Although they have been the hunter no longer.. Everyone will be coming after the Roadrunners . But just like the cartoon beep beep no one is catching them especially a La Tech Bulldog.

And just down the highway a few exits down in San Antonio is Incarnate Word They are playing McNesse St I think. Not sure of the line yet but just take them with Cameron Ward ...at qb only a sophomore Makes no difference what the line is This kid just throws for +300 yds and a 3 or 4 touchdowns every week. back later with a few games . Have to start my basketball capping and when the bible Blue Ribbon arrives I start to switch sports

ncarnate word ***** not sure of the line and thinks its McNesses St makes no difference ..

FSU -35.5 over UMass ***

If FSU cannot win by more then 36 points vs the worst team in football This they take out their frustrating year in a 55-0 blowout.

Ohio St -21 over Indy ***

Indy still has qb problems and if Sitwokowski Rutgers tranfer qb starts he already got the Rutgers coach fired last yr.

Cuse +3.5 over VT **

Ohio +5 over kent **

Ga St -10 over Tex St **

Ok St +7 over Iowa St ****

love this game Cowboys defense can slow down ISU's qb abd rb.

Wisky -3 over Army **

just fade this because I'm 0-4 going against Army vs power teams.

Texas Am -19.5 over SC **

Heads swollen but Aggies will use this Bama win after all the questioning before Bama .

Liberty -21 over North Texas ****

If you saw NT defense vs marshall get destroyed in the air the other night wait until NT see;s Wills at qb. for the Flames . Liberty will score over 55

UTSA best play and Incarnate word what ever the line, where ever they play good luck

and lets not forget Hamilton in F-1

You are very persuasive about UTSA over La Tech. I think I will follow but parlay them with MTS and Washington on the moneyline tonite to get the ml odds down to -120. Thanks. :0008

Incarnate -4 over McNesses St *****
Think these guys already played back in Sept and IW won 31-0 at home.. a little confused but Ward threw for over 350 yds and a few td's with no interceptions He has 2024 passing yds 20 touchdowns and only 3 interceptions and again is only a sophomore.. Am a little confused because these guys already played each other back in sept If someone knows more about the Southland conf please explain. I can't get the line until later but think its -4 . If its -4 love Incarnate big time .
So my 2 top picks today are both from San Antonio and If I recall only a few exits on the state highway from each other. Should play a parlay and throw in the Spurs but I'm not an NBA fan

Think Wake gives Army trouble today Army 's qb Anderson is questionable but he has 3 back ups that I thought were just as good as Anderson But I guess I was wrong

Think Tex AM has those 2 running backs that can break open a game. LiBerty has Willis at qb and North Texas defense is so bad. Marshall thur nite just blew them out They ended last yr giving up 49,42,and 43 and 48 and 49 last week. They use to have an offense that would try to keep up but their offense is avg and cannot play catchup .. Willis is a dual threat qb and last week Liberty was upset my UL Monroe. UAB beat North Texas 41-0 and Liberty beat UAB 36-12.. Not sure what happened vs UL Monroe but North Texas defensive backs will be chasing the Flames wr's and Willis

My bad about Incarnate ..they lost big 28-10 yet Cameron was 39-59 455 yds 2 touchdowns but had 3 interceptions more then his total for the year.Grimes the small reciever was 10-169 and a TD. They beat this team 31-0 last month but I guess MCNesse St adjusted Starting my hoops season this week ,hope everyone had a good day
