Thanks for the kind words guys.

NOW all you young guys that love to blame the refs for your losses and miserable calls. Next fall get with your state high school atheletic association and find a class close to you and get your license to official basketball in your respective state. IF the officiating is so doggone bad get out there and do something about it ! Help improve it by being the best you can and work your way up the ladder instead of sitting back and guzzling a cold one and whining about it while your $$$ slip away.

YES I worked the games and officiated for 10 years in Ohio.

kick it is an awesome product and I recommend one for everyone's daughter, niece, wife, mother, etc.

When aired up properly it is super shrill and very loud. A pulsating layed tri-toned blast of sound.

I don't know if the prick and the finger was meant for me or not but I have been called worse on the hardwood and later saw the same guy outside with his gal/wife it was a testament to his lack gonads when he said nothing and looked at the gravel and she apologized long and strong for his behavior inside.

I knew the creator was a Canadian but was unsure where he lived.

Omar,.. I always wore a Smitty lanyard and cliped it into my zipper clasp hole for basketball. ;)

I had a bad habit of finally biting thru the mouthpiece, some thicker plastic in that area would have been a good improvement.

nope I am done, blew a leg out in a game in Jan. 2000, came back that summer in girls summer league but was not 100% and did not renew after that. My youngest son's junior and senior year and watched them play those two seasons 2001 & 2002.

They had a great season and played in District final game losing to Bishop Ready at the big barn in Columbus.

Yep the same thing went on in our district also, frustrating but the way the games are assigned. You stick with it man, good for the kids to play the games and they need quality officials, regardless of the recognition you miss.

I have had bad games and good games but when I was on my game there was a lot of satisfaction in a job well done regardless of the flack dished out by the crowd.

sorry to hear about your leg. But thats coo your watching your son play ball.

I remember the first varsity game I reffed...I was soo nervous. I had this TERRRIBLE call I made...I called a kick ball on the fawking offense! hahahahahah....the coach stood their with his arms in the air and said "what.......wassss......THAT!?!?!" I said, sorry coach...I`ll give ya a make up call hahahaha. After that game tho, I toughened up and threatned to T up anybody and everybody. I LOVE getting booed and yelled at. Its great. I cant wait till next season to start!

gl!

You sound like me, a natural for the pursuit. I guess you gotta love the game and have a knack for being steadfast in the face of adversity to relish that situation but it is a rush and after all....................

As a ref you got the best spot in the game to watch the game .......;) :D

It is really special working those high profile regular season games for cross county rivals. I also know most of the guys I knew in the stands had a great amount of respect for me after the game was over even though the heat of the moment they wanted all the calls to go their kids/teams way.

I could tell you a ton of stories but the worst situation is having a bad (terrible) partner to work with at a major varsity game. It has happened to me with substitutes a couple of times UGH!

Oh well gotta run put in tomorrows stuff.
