Again, you guys can name call all you want, make your joke-references about how ignorant anyone is that doesn't agree with you, but that doesn't forward your arguments any, nor does it make you look secure in your thinking nor smart. It makes you look juvenile and irrational. Much like the President you support.

Thanks for the worthless opinion. You're a lefty...I didn't expect anything of substance or topic content.

Thank you for backing down to my challenges and totally ignoring all the quotes of democrats who "lied" to the world about WMD's in Iraq. I taught you a giant lesson and you couldn't handle it.

Bill Clinton 12/16/98 --

"The hard fact is that so long as Saddam remains in power, he threatens the well-being of his people, the peace of his region, the security of the world."

What do you think about that Chadman?

Manson,

Please provide transcripts of the entire speeches that all these quotes come from. Oh, what's that, you're just getting these snippets from some blog or mass email?

Bobbybluechip has embarrassed you repeatedly by posting the actual speeches of several of your quotes. The speeches reflect a lot different opinion than these one-liners.

So Manson, please start linking to the actual speeches from where these quotes come. Then we can discuss. Thank you.

I posted on this commentary in the other thread Charles. You didn't teach me a damn thing, and I feel very comfortable handling the situation - and you. I can probably do it without name-calling (although I do get mad at times) and saying that if you don't agree with me you are ignorant.

I don't have a lot of time right now, but I do plan on posting more this weekend.

As for Clinton's quote, I'd like to see the entire speech Clinton was making before I see it's context, but on short response without thinking too deeply (in the tradition of the current President)...

I agree Saddam threatened the well-being of his people (as do MANY dictators and tirants in the world), not so sure he was a serious threat to the peace of his region nor the security of the world. In the one real foray he made against another country (Kuwait) he was immediately beaten back by a strong coalition of countries that agreed he should have been stopped from attacking another country and his future capabilities were essentially wiped out. In some ways, however, yes I can agree with all of the comment, if that helps you.

Does that mean that Clinton - or I - think that his country should have been attacked by us when we did this last time? Obviously not.

How's that?

I was referencing Clinton's comment that is being spotlighted today in the Conservative spin room, if you are wondering why I used those words.

So, do you support the United States go into every country in the world that engages in oppressive and terrorizing acts against its own people, capture or kill the chief, and try to change the culture? This is NOT why we were asked initially to support Bush in his war. This was a new talking point when the first ones proved to be either false or not enough to continue selling it to Americans or allies. You guys blur the issue repeatedly with this stuff. It's great that he's not doing this anymore, but I question the cost in $$ and lives for the US to have done this.
