I have not noticed any American News station or politician or entertainer for that matter rooting for Iraq as Freeze has said.
This is the true sadness and treason of Rush Limbaugh and the like. Everything is distorted without any facts to back them up. Limbaugh and Savage and the like spout off their misinformation as if it was fact and the ditto heads take it as gospel.

Shrimp Im not sure why Cavuto gets so deep inpolitics. He is a reject from CNNBC where he was a business/Stock mkt reporter.
As for Geraldo FOX still has not admitted he is a reject to and military ordered him shut down. I believe he's still out in the field just not alowed to open his mouth. Thus Fox can say he's still in the fileld. Fox reporters are all rejects from many networks. No loyality they go for highest buck. And now they have to watch what they say or be gone. I would never give my right for my ideals or ideas up. What I dont understand why some of these other net works let Fox get away with some of the thing Fox calls them. Rating are always talked about. Fox does not win that complete battle. Yes O Rilley does. But with CNN headline news coupled with reguler CNN. They still have the numbers. When I watch news I want to here both sides. Remember guys it's outfits like Fox that cause big problems for people when they let the government run them. Kind of like Iraq they only here what there allowed to here. I hope the rest of the broadcast industry does not let them get away with it.

I guess the following article from the NY Daily News was what Inforabuck was referring to in another thread. After reading this article my opinion of Rivera has changed.I thought he knew better than to put our military at risk, so he can enhance his reputation. A word that comes to mind for this is.....pathetic.

Tora Bora vet
at war with Geraldo

Loose Lips: Geraldo Rivera has a history of blabbing about sensitive U.S. military operations, according to a former Green Beret who worked with the Northern Alliance in Afghanistan.

Geraldo Rivera should be glad he got out of Iraq without a broken nose, according to a former Green Beret who says the Fox News star has a history of jeopardizing military operations.
Ex-Army commando Keith (Jack) Idema isn't surprised that military officials accused Rivera of leaking their positions on the air. Idema tells us that, when he served as an adviser to Northern Alliance forces in Afghanistan, he was ready to "punch out"

Rivera for allegedly putting his coalition comrades at risk with his newsgathering.

Idema, who figures prominently in Robin Moore's best seller "The Hunt for Bin Laden," was retired when he flew to Afghanistan in December 2001 to help Gen. Hazrat Ali.

"We had two- and three-man sniper teams hiding out in the mountains" of Tora Bora, recalls Idema. "Geraldo found out about it from the [anti-Taliban] mujahedeen soldiers. We were paying them between $25 and $100 a month. Geraldo put the word out that he would pay any Afghan who deserted the U.S. Army $100 a day to point out where the snipers were so he could get pictures of them."

Not surprisingly, Idema says, it wasn't hard to find volunteers. "Here are a couple of snipers hidden in this cave, and Geraldo comes prancing up.

Of course, now everybody knows where they are.

"One of my muj told me about him. I got into my damn car, drove to the hill where the media was camped to find Geraldo. He'd just left. Several of us were drawing straws about who would knock him out and escort him out of the place."

Rivera also caught heat in Afghanistan when he erroneously claimed to be standing on "hallowed ground" where U.S. soldiers had been killed by friendly fire.

A spokesman for Fox said the newsman couldn't be reached for comment. Maybe we'll hear from him once he's settled into his new digs in Kuwait.

Have you figured out that people who don't want America in Iraq are not cheering for the Iraqis, no matter how vehemently FOX promotes that idea?

"Not leaning to the right" does not mean "leaning to the left".

How about a network that doesn't CHEER for any side? If you think CNN, ABC, NBC, and CBS are rooting for the Iraqis because they have some guests on that question US motives and tactics then your bias has shifted so far out of whack that you've lost perspective.

Do you watch anything else? All this talk about NBC (or whoever) being biased because they happen to show the truckload of women and children that our troops fired into is ridiculous. They're reporting on the war, good and bad. Just as they've shown surrendering Iraqis, the joyful Lynch family, and the non-stop clips of the precision air strikes (do you think CNN ISN'T showing these things? Seriously, do you think this -- that CNN isn't showing all of these "good" things?). Just because they're not 100% praising America 100% of the time or have flags waving during the NEWS, you seem to think they are cheering for the Iraqis.

If you think they're just reporting positive things about the Iraqis and negative things about the Americans then you've either been very selective in your bathroom breaks or have a very strange filter in your head.

All right, now tell me again how I'm rooting against America because of this post. It's becoming pretty funny.

Like this story on Fox. The battle plan has been perfect. The 3rd army moved 200 miles in 5 days. Yes they did and that is true. It is the most fantastic move a of Army in world history. True thats how it was said. I have another one that was just as great. WWII
Patton took over 10000 men over 110 miles in less then 48 hours in chit weather half the time Mud, Snow, Cold Rain. And help turn the battle of the bulge around. He did this with tired men who had been at war over a year. With equimpent that was wearing down and chit compared to todays. Pattons Tanks top speed ona good day was about 20 miles a hour. Not 40 or better like todays. So I say to Fox do not belittel things from the past that maybe were even a greater feat then what happen in Iraq. They should send there reporters to history school before opening there mouths. I would rate both as outstanding and mention both as a reporter.

fox news is way right

fox news is way right

i think that`s obvious.....what galls many is the resistance on the left to admit that cnn is just right of al jazeera....check out judy woodruff and paula zahn making faces while reporting pro coalition stories.....barbara starr....wolf blitzer.....typical.....every story is civilian and american casualties, bush is folding under pressure....or reporters literally trying to pry statements from ex-generals denegrating coalition battle plans.....friendly fire......even their conservatives(bob novak in particular)are vehemently against the war(except for tucker carlson)...i think novak may be of arabic origins...i`ve tried to pull up a bio on him...i can`t get the info...if anyone has a source for a comprehensive bio on novak, please post a link..i was wondering why he`s so anti-israel..and this goes way back...way before the war.....i`ve never heard him actually explain his stance......looking for info...

i see cnn and fox as a counter balance....i see msnbc as much more objective.....i think lester holt is excellent....keith olbermann is exactly what he was on espn...a smarmy, smart mouthed jim rome clone....useless...a real punk...

i agree DJV....both are great feats....but maybe FOX said without accounting for the different era/equipment we had back then

i listen to democrats who are openminded and tough on both sides like CHris Matthews just as liberals should listen to guys like Bill O'Reilly....

anyways...i could argue more but right now we are just outside Baghdad (despite what the idiot spokesman for Iraq says who says we are nowhere near Baghdad...lol), the lights are off, and Saddam Hussein probably just messed his pants because the Judgement Day is upon him and HE WILL BE JUDGED ACCORDING TO HIS DEEDS.......

i don`t know how i left out chris matthews....maybe the best of the bunch.....he is the epitome of an independent thinker....a democrat that takes stands on what HE thinks.....not a party line....definitely a democrat, but you get the feeling HE decides what his stance will be on a particular issue...not some think tank....matthews deserves mention...thanks,dr...

I can not believe that this is what this war has brought us to argue over! Wether or not the damn TV Stations that we watch are liberal, or conservative. Whether they are republican or democrat............I love FOX news channel! I think it is great that a conservative republican view can be expressed on the Tube! I love Sean Hannity and love to watch his show! I think that if you can not have all the views shown over a broad band of stations then you are only getting half of the story! I mean c'mon........I am alll about the way fox reports the news......I am a conservative and a Republican. I am sure that some of you are democratic followers and you should be exposed to the views of both sides. I from time to time flip over to see the other stations during a commercial break.........I enjoy a good laugh at the expense of liberal media. To get the full "FAIR and BALNACED" Coverage that instant America wants you must take a little from each and then put it together yourself. For if you only subject yourself to one form of media coverage you will only see what some producer wants you to see! SO I suggest instead of bitching and moaning so much and trying to tell all of the people that you know what the hell is wrong with this country, this war, or this world.........Take a second and change the damn channel!

Freak, the fact that you are spouting off about a Liberal Media means in itself you should switch the channel more often. You make the point about the dangers of all these Right Wing traitors viable.

I since now retiered have had to much time to switch channels.
If I worked for Fox and had to follow only one line of thinking or head for the highway. Highway I would take. I dont want to only get reported to me one side. Thats what people in places like Iraq get. Now we fight a war so they can have both sides.

No Stevie the fact that I am "SPOUTING" off about Liberal media is a direct result of my freedom of Speach there partner! Let me just tell you a little something my northern friend.........I am stating liberal media as the whiney assed peope that do nothing but question the government and moan about every little thing that comes over the wire as it is not PC enough for them!

Enough of this crap, I don't know why I even bother with this because all you people do is royally piss me off and make my blood boil! Put down your anti-war sentiments and go outside and salute the nearest American Flag and apologize to everyone you know for being such a pain in the neck for all these years!

Oh yeah the right wing talk show hosts were put here to save us from the liberal media! :thefinger

And if you ever refer to the Right as traitors again.......go ahead and slap yourself as to save us the effort!

Unfortunately for us civilians, the media has taken sides for years. They report the news in a way that shows their sides favorably.Whenever clinton took action on a issue the media that opposed him reported more or less that "he was wagging(sp?) the dog", while the media that supported him reported the same issue in a more favorable light. The same goes for bush, the media has taken sides. For example of what I have read, seen or heard I have found that the media that is pro-bush & thus pro war are fox, ny post,& wash. times. The wall street journal was pro-bush before the war started, but have'nt been able to read anything by that paper since the outbreak. The media that I find that are anti-bush & against the war (not saying that they are hoping saddam wins)are cnn, ny times, la times, cbs, & abc. They will slant the news that will show the iraqi fighters as fighting a tough war, while fox will say that the war has gone brillantly for the allies. As freak said, people should try to get various viewpoints on the war & then draw an opinion.IMO, these media outlets are doing us civilians a dis-service.

My two favorite political commentators are oreilly & mathews.I don't agree with either one on every issue but their shows have bite. They take on both parties, with oreilly leaning more to the right & matthews leaning more to the left.I tend to disagree with those who think that oreilly always favor the republicans because I have seen him hammer republicans on various issues. For example he agressively attacked jeb bush on a few issues such as florida's social services losing a foster child.

Funny how this started with more or less a question. Why Fox was afraid to come clean about Geraldo Rivera. Fox is so quick to critisize everyother network but never there own erorrs. I really think. I know theres two or three here that would neve do it. But go to foxnews.com. Send a message to the fair and balanced folks. I sent mind to O' Rilley. He might have the cuts to tell it like it is. By the way someone here said Geraldo would show up in Kuwate. He did out of the military hair.
