I have to question what the hell some tv execs are doing??

Monday night is a fully loaded night of tv and putting a show on a network head 2 head with MNF and the women's version of MNF meaning Dancing With The Stars is borderline suicide for a new show.

I mean come on, why not a new quality show on a Wednesday night because Wednesday night tv sucks for the most part and is begging for something new.

FOX put their new show "Lone Star" on Monday right up against MNF and DWTS. Also same time slot as NBC much hyped "The Event" which had a serious falloff in week 2 ratings as well and if it continues to slide will become a MNF/DWTS victim as well.

Two weeks and "Lone Star" has been cancelled and one of my new favorite shows "Lie To Me" entering season 3 has been bumped up from its original November return to this Monday 's timeslot of "Lone Star".

I am going to be down right pissed with FOX if "Lie To Me" fails because of the Monday time slot. :(

Sad thing is of all the new action/drama shows "Lone Star" was the most entertaining of them all more so than "The Event", "The Chase", or "Hawaii Five-O". Poor advertising for the series didn't help.

Not as much since they keep cancelling the actual shows I like.
Also if you download instead of watching on tv and cut out commercials then you can watch way more.
Starting a new job Monday and will fall behind big time now though.

This is from Metacritic : The number in () is the metacritic review score for those shows based out of 100. I think the 27 score for $^*! My Dad Says is very generous. I wanted to like that show but it sucks.

Lone Star is a loner

It?s true: the worst-reviewed new fall show is rarely if ever the first show canceled. (This year, by the way, that "honor" goes to the sitcom ? or $#*!com ? $#*! My Dad Says(27), which is still safely on CBS? schedule.) That said, this year?s first cancellation victim is even more of a rarity: a well-reviewed show.

Fox canceled its mostly acclaimed serialized drama Lone Star(73) this week after its second episode performed even more dismally in the ratings than last week?s debut, despite the fact that the drama was the second-best-reviewed new show of the season. As you can see from the table below, Lone Star is now the only program with positive reviews to be canceled so quickly over the past six fall seasons.
Late Friday afternoon, ABC pulled the plug on the poorly-reviewed My Generation(43) after just two episodes.
