This game should be a pick IMO.....Aggies not playing well on defense at all.....not exactly a good road team either historically but interestingly enough, all 3 losses this year come at home....good spot for OSU to win after big win against Nebraska....had a week off to get over the win and I look for another good performance out of the Cowpokes this weekend.....

Freeze, recognize your expertise in the Big 12 and want to ask your opinion. I look for Iowa State to put an ass whooping on Missouri. I still feel ISU is a quality team and Wallace will run and throw it up and down the field on a poor Mizz D. After two weeks of facing the best D's in the Big 12, I'm thinking ISU will be looking to run it up at home. I've been getting slayed lately, including the same bad beats you took last week, and I'm just looking for a little sanity check. :talk:

my thoughts too.....Pinnacle showing 9.5 now.....public may be jumping off Iowa State.....hard to tell though.....

read some thoughts in here thinking Iowa State will be down....i think quite the contrary.....two tough weeks at OU and Texas......getting blasted by OU but hanging tough at Texas.....team wasn't exactly expected to waltz in there and get 2 wins......

Iowa State showed remarkable improvement and that they were gamers by giving Texas all they wanted.....score could have been closer if Iowa State would have had more success in redzone....

Mizzou defense is perhaps the worst in the Big 12.....outside of Lawrence anyway......these two defenses are an embarrassment to the big 12 and are on par with the WAC/MAC/SUNBELT level.....they do have a decent offense, but it is not nearly as effective on the road as we witnessed in Lubbock...

looks to be a solid play on Iowa State.....like 10 but 9.5 is much better......my books don't have 9.5 yet so i am waiting a little while longer......McCarney is a good coach and I expect him ot have his team ready to compete and get back on track on Saturday.....Iowa State is a fighting team.....look how they responded to FSU, Iowa, and last weekend after blowout loss to OU.....i would rather bet on what i have seen than try to speculate a let down this week which would be way out of norm for this club......

Gotta wonder about A & M's mental state after that meltdown last week. Of all teams to make a comeback like that; that must've been their biggest comeback since Solich has been coach. I thought A & M was supposed to be strong against the run. What happened anyways? Didn't get to see the game.

The Aggies just had a meltdown. When A&M scored to make it 31-14 in the 3rd quarter I felt for sure that locked up my Aggies -6 bet. For some reason, the whole team shut down. That powerful defense looked awful, Nebraska was able to run ALL OVER them the remainder of the second half. The offense couldn't get anything done either, 3 and out. It was frustrating to watch, A&M was clearly the better team but completely gave up once they took the 17 point lead.

It was a hard loss to swallow, I still feel like I had the right side on that one - just how it goes sometime. Unsure what was cause for Aggie meltdown.

i didn't either.....but heard Nebraska sacked up and looked like days of old......that being said:

Nebraska looks to have new life.....going back to Lincoln and getting 4.5 points to Texas, who has very little on offense....17 points against Iowa State at home??? are you kidding???

Coach Mack was on the radio last night saying that the coaches were working on some new things.....that gives this play all the more strength.....I am sure Chrissy is ready to have some new quirks thrown in when he goes into Lincoln....given his capacity to read defenses.....

Nebraska should be up for this game after big win.....could go for sweep of Texas and don't ever forget the 1st big 12 conference championship game.....Nebraska will not forget that game in any of our lifetimes and I am sure that is being replayed for the Huskers all week......they WILL be up for this game.....

If Nebraska is UP, at HOME, and GETTING points.....I will rarely go against those three....

i don't think so....aggies got most of their scores on big plays.....fluke plays......Nebraska manhandled them on the line of scrimmage from everyone i heard from....box score also shows it.....

I was on A & M also. When I saw the 31-14 score it looked like money in the bank. I wouldn't be surprised if that meltdown carried over to this week.

i had a large play on tx a+m....and based on every possible angle that i could figure,they were an absolutety fabulous play...from stopping v tech`s running game cold,to their new qb putting up significant numbers over the last few games,to nebraska`s road woes and one dimensional offense and on and on..........as it turned out,they had no business being up 31-14(they scored on numerous flukey plays as the good dr said )and ended up getting dominated at the line of scrimmage...as it turned out,the v tech game was the anomaly....all those a+m wins over the baylors and kansas` were meaningless......i have to like okie st +4(bought the half)coming off the big win over the huskers and the bye week....g.l. guys.

Iowa State for reasons mentioned above.....Baylor.....do not think Tech is worht 31 points with that defense.....I see this game as a 3-4 score (17-28) game in all likelihood......Baylor showing signs of a little bit of improvement.....line is a bit overinflated I think....

and i keep an accurate record of all my picks, include the juice for precision, include losing records and days, give angles when i have them, provide information when i have them, do NOT give bad information out or misinformation, and usually recap my losses as to why i missed --as we learn mostly through losing.....

if you are going to bash people who do that, or if it is easy to bash people who do that, then you will chase away a)everyone who in good faith is trying to become a better handicapper or b)everyone who is a good handicapper.

i think of myself as a decent handicapper who is improving.....and i like to talk sports and give and receive help and that is why i am here.....you are on an attention addiction and it is easy to see that is what fuels your fire....

Freeze, like your Iowa St pick alot!!! I will be in Lawrence tomorrow to see the Kansas bloodbath as K-St most likely will destroy my Jayhawks. With 3rd string QB Weatherbie starting for KU it will get ugly early. Only thing that will probably keep my interest in the game will be the pointspread. Also like Colorado (+14 now at Olympic). So my favorite picks for the conference are Iowa St -9, K-St -32 and Colorado +14. Good luck in the Big 12 this weekend.

havent kept records until this year......haven't handicapped much....bet in college some but didn't know what i know now.....took a few years off and just started last year....didn't keep records though.....now i am....

geno....not sure about KState game......everyone on KState....don't know a soul on Kansas......kind of like last weekend at Baylor......KState was very fortunate to cover that one.....33 points on the road is a lot with Roberson at QB.....Roberson sux more than he does not.....

if i played it, i would play Kansas.....especially with the cold weather.....


On the OU game I was initially inclined to go with Colorado...however Stoops has had 2 weeks to prepare.....that could spell trouble for CU....CU might not score.....

i do like the fact that they have a big physical back......plus can changeup with purify.....but Stoops at home against Barnett could spell trouble.....only way CU covers is if Hybl plays bad and Hybl has looked good as of late.....

If I play this one, I will play OU.....
