Yes,used to order a roast beef on white bread with fries and the whole plate was covered in gravy. Seemed to be a greasy spoon's specialty when I was younger.

When I was 15 there was this small lunch joint we'd all eat at during the school year. The specialty was French Fries topped with a rich gravy. Man that was good. Have any of you ever had this?

Yes it's called poutine.. There is a place in New Orleans that is famous for it. And yes it's awesome :00hour

My Uncle owned a restaurant called the Goldenrod in Manchester, New Hampshire where I worked my youth and we had the gravy fries...they were handcut fries and the gravy was thick and had a small bite to it thanks to the white pepper....
