this was a fool proof usc strategy in the first half of the season, but since the nd game , the trojans have stepped up their first half play, especially with the BCS struggle for #1.
Last few games trojans have had HEALTHY halftime leads against pac 10 opponents, Cal, Washington, WSU, and Stanford. None of these teams had anything to prove really though. Fresno will play at least one good QUARTER of defense tonight, if that happens in the first half and they can get a TD or two, they can cover the half. If not, beware. Either way, probably a better strategy than taking Fresno straight up and hoping for a miracle at the colliseum..
