Fresno -5 over San Jose St
Fresno has won 5 in a row after starting out shakey.Winning their 1st WAC game by 9 at Hawaii.Think Bulldogs are much more athletic and quicker then SJose.Walton is leading scorer and rebounder.Lilly despite missing all of his 3's last game is a sharpshooter with great range.They are a good defensive team holding teams to a low FG %.
But Harvard beat them 2 weeks ago.They have a problem scoring.
Fresno has a 6'7 scorer in Majors avg 15 pts.Woods,Logan,West are all D-Digit scorers and can shoot from downtown.Al-Sayyad is there inside player at 6'8.
Fresno lost to Creighton in OT.Think they have to much speed and should get a 10 pt road win vs SJ who's offense is suspect.
Providence -1 over Texas
Probaly everyone has Prov today just for the fact that Texas has played all home games.Lyr, Texas on the road vs good teams lost to Zona,KU,Colorado,and Ok st.
Texas's frontline is awesome.But Prov's isn't to bad either.
Timmy will switch defenses but his 2-3 will make Texas take outside shots.Small play here but I'll bite and take the home team. Barnes returning will add to all the hoopla and the fans will give Prov a slight edge.And there are still people in Prov who will remember what that backstabbing Barnes did to Gordan Chiesa their former coach.Barnes only got that Prov job because of a lie.
Hofstra -2 over VCU
VCU has won the last 4 in this matchup.Almost all have gone to the wire.This is CAA conf game.Adeleke the 2nd leading rebounder in the nation lyr has finaly awoken.Is back to his double-doubles.Stokes the frosh has responded with his new starting position the past 5 games scoring in double figures.Rivera the other frosh is tough.Gibson and walker who now comes off the bench gives the Pride a good frontline.
VCU has 6'1 Jones who is there stud.Doles,Godwin and Pellot-Rosa can all score.VCU runs their 3 gd attack.So Hof should control the bds.
Both teams in stats are almost identical in 10 catogories.VCU def FG % is much better. But VCU cannot shoot FT's.One of the worst in the nation at 57%.
Lyr Taylor who graduated scored 24 pts vs Hof in a 80-77 win.
I think Hof can win this by 5 or 6 pts at home.Esp the way VCU shoots from the charity line.
