Screwy line awards go to Orl and Mia today.

Orl without McGrady and Hill are giving Wash (one of the hottest teams in the NBA in Dec) 1' points. Wash is now at .500 and I will guarentee MJ wants this win bad. They are 8-2 last 10 (SA is the only team in the NBA with a better record in last 10) with the one loss in a game MJ didn't play. Their d has been super resulting in 9 out of 10 going under. I can't see LAL or SA getting points in this situation. What have I missed.

Mia takes my bad team award winning only 3 games in the last month and a half and by a total of only 9 points. Even Mem has done better than that. They are playing Clev who, as bad as they are, have managed 8 wins in the same time frame and have already beat Mia twice. The ave margin was 5' points and here Clev is getting 4'. The absolute best I can come up with would be a pk. Is everyone like me? I keep expecting Riely to get this team turned around but it just isn't happening. What have I missed?

If McGrady was playing, the Wash line would be about right. Wash was over-valued early by Vegas and now are not getting the respect they have earned. The only way to figure the Mia line is that Mia is always over-valued and Clev gets no respect at all. If I can't play Wash and Cleve tonight, then I'll pass.

Thought I would go ahead and post my early leans. None of the sides show any adv today but some of the totals look real interesting. I like Atl, NJ, Wash and Clev but have nothing solid to base this on. The totals look like this, Phil u, Ind u, Bos o, Mia o, Minn u, SA u, Port o, GS o.

Good stuff gsp.

The Wiz/Mag line does look odd for all the reasons you espoused.

Ever since MJ's version of the Jim Mora....."We Suck" news conference....the Wizards have went through a metamorphosis.

-MJ's gears now mesh with the rest of his young team mates instead of clashing.

-The Wiz have also found young Hamilton and Haywood can carry their team when MJ's not on the floor.

-Haywood's play of recent has made Laettner's loss last Friday less significant. (I'll trade you a Laettner for a McGrady any day!)

-Wiz team confidence seems to be growing with each additional game since the 7 game streak began on Dec 6 at Houston.

-The Wiz won by 3 at Houston....then by 7, 10, 2, 16, 5 and 29 in the last outing on Dec 19 at home vs. Atlanta.

-Without McGrady the Orlando team has two MUST deliver players in Miller and Armstrong.

-I see Armstrong as the KEY to this game.
DOES HE DELIVER??

---------------------------------------------

Scoring by Orlando player over the last 7 outings.......

McGrady
-0 out with back when Utah came to town
-4 before Sunday's back injury in Sea...loss
-36 vs Port...loss
-40 vs GS...win
-21 vs Sac...loss
-47 vs LAC...loss
-40 vs Atl...loss

Miller
-21 stepped it up in Utah...win
-23 stepped it up in Sea...loss
-18 vs. Port...loss
-15 vs. GS...win
-17 vs. Sac...loss
-10 vs. LAC...loss
-16 vs. Atl...loss

Armstrong
-24 stepped up in Utah win
-8 didn't steep it up in Sea loss
-5 vs. Port...loss
-5 vs. GS...win
-12 vs. Sac...loss
-15 vs. LAC...loss
-10 vs. Atl...loss

The above numbers indicate THREE things:
1) McGrady's impact (which will be absent tonight).

2) Also...that Miller is basically a very soild high teens scorer.

3) And finally...that Armstrong an erratic scorer who may or may not show up on a minus McGrady Olando team!!

Point being-->Armstong is the key tonight. If I'm Washington tonight, I control Miller and force Armstrong to beat me!

Therefore, I ask the question again....Does he deliver?

I don't think so!

Especially against a re-programed, post MJ...."We Suck" Wiz team that is getting very little R-E-S-P-E-C-T. ez
