IL starts again today so I'll be looking for home favs, hometeams, and fav overall, in that order. I'll be leaving town in about an hour and won't be back until Mon. so won't be able to keep the IL thread up to date.
Here's something that I have been planning on mentioning before and just haven't got to it. Why do I hate to bet without knowing the ump? Just think about it. Major League pitchers are so good that if you give them a couple of inches they will look like Cy Youngers and the hitters are good enough that if the plate is just 1 inch smaller they look like Ted Williams. If they're not that good they're not up there. There's not many pitchers that can over-come the narrower than nornal strike zone and not many hitters that can over-come the wider than normal zone. Now keep this in mind. These are also the best umps in the world and believe me they can control a game. They can be consistant (which is all most players ask) and still influence the total or in some cases the side. Just something to think about.
