The plays that I consider worth looking at went 1-2 yesterday. The first losing day in last 10. Stands at 65-46 last 19. Nothing today.

Caution: Be careful going over in these games, Balt and TB. At least one and maybe both will go under.

gsp - What system do you use to produce a worth looking at list? Is it pure capper intuition, or do you have some numbers that you crunch and then come up with some possibilities?

The only reason I ask is because I am always looking for new and better angles to use in my handicapping. Thanks and good luck tonight!

Thanks for the uestion Texas. Sometimes I wonder if anyone ever pays attention to my posts.

For a game to be "worth looking at", it has to meet all the criteria that I have come up with thru the years. A lot of emphasis is put on who the ump is. For example, take Glavin and Maddux. Both like to work the outside of the plate and so last year when I had an ump with a narrow strike zone I knew they could be hit and did very well going over on their games. If you've noticed, this year with the "narrow strike zone" Maddux has ajusted better the Glavin.

If everything comes together, then the game is worth looking at. The thing that has surprised me this year is the accuracy with forcasting sides. I orginally felt it would work better for totals. Only 5 fav have lost out of 27 picks. A lot of loses are coming in the bottom of the 9th or extra innings, more than normal. Hopes this helps a little.

Appreciate the response gsp. You make a good point about control pitchers being affected by the umpire more than power pitchers.

Oh and by the way, I also try and read your posts daily. Keep it up!

how can one NOT read your posts??? Look at your track record!

I too check out your plays on a daily basis, and use them before finalizing my wagering decisions. The write ups I do are usually done first, using my own analysis and systems, but once that's complete, I look at others to be sure I haven't missed anything. It's worked both ways where I've NOT played a winner, or passed on a LOSER, but I like to get the info out to the board as soon as possible, and then FEEL it's each person's responsibility to look at the different cappers here and choose their own if they are simply lurking. I am normally ON every game I post, and quite often on others I don't. I try and give out information.

You on the other hand come across to me as a very disciplined and systematic player, that looks for a reason NOT to play a game, which tells me that your selections are very well though through, which is what we all desire.

Keep up the good work, it's not being wasted!
