Homer or not, i am totally with you. I knwo this board is ALL with Clemson, and by the 1 point jump today, the public is too. Clemson closed the season very hot, but its been a month, Clemson will come back down to reality a play a BCS Bowl caliber Vol squad!

Tenn -4.5 my Bowl Play of the season :toast:

Public is about 65% on Tennesse but the line is going the other way. Things that make you go hmm...

Arliss, the public is most definitely on Tennessee. . . 74% at the site that is most reliable for my capping.

Public or not, the only reason i didn't pound Tenn at -5.5 when it opened was so that I could have more money for the earlier games. Now that the lines at -4.5 im just fine w/ me.

Nickel, thoughts on Lute about to get his 700th win at Tempe Normal on Saturday? The way UofA has been playing lately scares me, however since we are playing ASU, who has looked like $hit, sorry BG, I think we'll wn easily.

I think Arizona's typical under achieveing performance during the holidays will only give us added value for this one. You know the players are looking forward to the Pac 10 as Lute makes it a high priority. ASU has Ike who will do well underneath but Arizona has enough to stop him enough and everyone else in order to win this one comfortably IMO. We'll see what the line looks like.

Then let me ask the obvious question..

Then let me ask the obvious question..

If the line opens at 6, and 74% of players are on Tenn, why has the line gone down to 4.5?

I cannot believe that Vegas opened it at 6 on purpose, knowing they were going to lower it, to sucker money on Tenn, because Clemson is going to win.

I appreciate any experienced responses, as this is always something that confuses me, and often i end up leaning the wrong way. Thanks.

Also, can anyone give me any solid reason not to absoutely unload on the over in the Mississippi game? 60?? I see both teams having the potnetial to reach 40. Help.

Thanks.

All this BS about Vegas traps and set ups is a load of chit!!!! Vegas set the line at what they think Tenn. should be favored by but due to Tommy's coach of the year award, Clemson's finishing the year with some great wins, and the TV hype about Clemson's great season has dropped the line. Besides, Vegas sports books only account for a small percentage of their profit. The casinos themselves bring in the most money. To me, I look at this situation as insulting to Tenn. Too much hype on the Tigers. Tenn. players would be insulted, imo, that all the publicity is on an unranked team...My play and money is on the Vols. Best of luck.
