Well, today we have a lot to think about. I've been visiting the sites of some of the top pay services that offer free picks. These are guys that I have followed for 3 to 5 years and are consistantly 60% or better. Thought maybe I'd get an idea of what to look for today. They're split on everything which means I should concentrate on baseball and enjoy watching the NBA on TV tonight. I hate it when those guys are no help at all. But since I'm only playing my 1 unit anyway why not give it a whirl.
OK, here's a few things we are up against. Both fav are playing good enough d to win but digging such deep holes with their offense that they have been losing. But they both have been able to come back and make a game of it. Tonight, one of them runs off and hides. Will it be the Lakers or Bos? You very seldom see this but I think that both teams are concentrating on d so hard that they are having trouble getting their offense off the ground. Especially Bos. This hasn't worked so I am expecting one or both to come out firing tonight. I adhere to the adage that the first team to 3 wins. How long has it been since a team has come back from 1-3 in the Championship or the finals? Problem is, does the NBA think its about time? IF so, it will be LA. Makes for better press. I've said all along that NJ going to the finals is payback to the NJ fans for hanging in there. I still believe this. It would be great for both NJ and Sac to win it in front of the home fans. One of them will for sure. The big question is, will there be one or two games on Sun? Tonight, one fav will cover and one dog will cover. Which will it be? LA can't keep getting into foul trouble so look for the refs to ease up on Shack tonight.
You have heard me say all year that I dont like Vegas helping me. In the play-offs this don't bother me as much because of the number of players who bet the play-offs but seldom bet the regular season and Vegas is not above using a little reverse psychology on these people. I'm pretty sure about what I am going to do but will wait until about an hour before game-time to make it final. Good luck everyone
