On average, don't favorites and dogs come in at about 50% with small aberrations from year to year for and against the favorites.

So why would you think that 10 doggie plays would make a book "scared" while 10 favorite plays give the books that warm, fuzzy feeling.

Because Sportsbooks know from years of experience the majority of bettors prefer to bet the favorites and bookmakers are very adept at using this tendency to their advantage.
