grab all this points and ride with the Jazz tonight at the Clippers. The Jazz (5-2 ATS run) have won and covered two straight after Wednesday's solid 11-point win at Denver and they'll be game tonight.

About two weeks back, Utah coach Jerry Sloan figured out that enough was enough in terms of playing subs who just weren't contributing. His decision to play a core group of mostly veterans has paid off as Utah is making a late surge to slip into the playoffs. With 11 games left, Utah comes into tonight's contest just a game and a half back of the Kings for the eighth and final playoff spot. They'll be motivated for this one.

Injuries kept Carlos Boozer (49 games missed) and others out of the Utah lineup for extended periods this season. But Boozer is healthy now, and along with guys like Kirilenko, Harpring, Okur and steady rookie Deron Williams, he's helping Utah making a late season charge. Will those players, all of whom are playing extended (yet quality) minutes, be ragged out if Utah does indeed slip into the postseason? You bet, but that's down the road and Sloan is doing whatever it takes now to make the playoffs.

Their defense has suffered some here of late, but they are scoring (115 points in Denver) like they haven't done so all year. Utah shot 59 percent from the field against the Nuggets the other night as this team has found its stride.

L.A. is playing decent, but not great after going 2-3 SU/ATS in its last five games. They, too, have gotten healthy here late in the season, but as coach Mike Dunleavy pointed out the other night in a home loss to the Spurs, the Clippers' top players are not good one-on-one defenders. Teams like Utah, which can spread the offense, penetrate and locate open shooters, have found success against L.A. this season.

Utah is 2-1 SU and 3-0 ATS in its last three roadies and they did beat the Clippers by a bucket earlier this month in Salt Lake City. This game, too, will be close and the Clips most likely will emerge as the scoreboard winner. But they won't cover this many points as Utah is the play here.
