Lots of good stuff the I see right from the get go.
I don't believe in GOY's or any of that hype but if i did the first play would qualify.

Akron / Kent St under 138 (ten units)
Kent St -3 (buy) ( 6 units)
Detroit +2' ( 2 units)

Gl-I a looking at taht one-of course I am going to ask why?

I've never been short winded when giving the reasons that I like a big play or didn't like one.

Well, it all comes down to knowing this team far better than any other. Between live, TV and computer this will be about the 20 time that I have watched the Zips. We will be in Kent tonight but I know that it's on TV nationally.

I rolled with the Zips on their recent winning streak then jumped off just at the right time at OU. The reason for liking Kent St so much is much the same as it was when Akron got crushed at OU.

THE ZIPS HAVE NO BALLS ON THE ROAD

The Zips simply have not won a big game on the road all season and in general most all of their really tough games going back to '09. While it's true that they have owned a spot in the MAC tourney championship game over recent years, that all boiled down to facing inferior opposition. There is a reason that they have lost all but one of the tourney championship games that they have played in.

Kent has ruled Akron at the MAC Center( their place) over the years with Akron last winning with probably their best team that I have seen back in the '06/ '07 season when the Zips beat KSU 3 times. This is a huge rivalry, almost like a mini Duke/NC as I could be at either campus in about 10 minutes. The fans hate each other and play often gets chippy between the two. Most of the Zip/Flashes games have been fun to watch and the home side usually prevails although Kent has stolen a couple at Akron in recent years. In general, Kent has beat up the Zips going 6-2 in the last 8 games of the series. Akron did hold serve in the seasons first match up in a tight low scoring game.

I love the under because of two reasons.

1. I know a little about Akron's coach and one thing that KD will not tolerate is for the Zip defense to be toasted like it was at OU. A big part of Akron's problems on defense has been their inability to defend against great perimeter shooting teams like OU who is number 1 in the MAC. Kent State does not present much of a threat out there, their game is in the paint.

2.Statistically in conference games these are amongst the two best teams that the MAC has to offer in terms of defending. In opp. FG % these are the two best, both right at .415. They are also pretty good in overall scoring defense in the MAC Akron is giving up just 64ppg and Kent is at 67ppg.

I would be less that truthful if I didn't have any concerns about the under play. That all boils down to MAC officiating which is less that desirable. As I mentioned, this is a huge rivalry with a chiippy history. It will be physical out there. I very much need a crew that will let them play a little tonight in a game that has some flow to it.

I was happily surprised to wake up and get better numbers. I played half of these bets last night and the other half today. It was at -3 (-110) and 138' at 5dimes early this morning so that's a plus for me. The total then quickly dropped back down to 138.

ADDING :

Ohio U pk
Creighton -1

One unit ea.

That was clearly too much typing :0003

FCP who has more incentive today between miami oh & ohio..thanks

All four teams playing tonight have much to play for but I would guess that more is on the line for Miami.

Kent has locked up at least a tie for reg season champion but the Flashes need tonights game for the #1 seed.

The race between Miami/OU and Akron is a a complicated affair but Miami could still win the top spot with a win and Kent loss. Fact is, that with a loss Miami could finish as low as a 6 seed and have to play their way to Cleveland. OU and Akron are also playing for a first round bye but neither can take down the top spot.

Both of these games tonight are very significant for all involved.

2H play SIU +9' one unit

Not real sure about this one because how in the hell is a team that is getting beat on the glass get to the stripe 16 freaking times in the first half compared to SIU's 4 attempts.

Gl on your plays--many good games coming up tomorrow.:toast:

The MAC suspended one of Western Michigan's very best players for one game. Keep that in mind if you are looking at that one. They probably win anyways but Central can be physical and pose some problems and keep it close.

Probably my MAC dog tomorrow and an under play may follow.
