Thursday Recap: 3-1
La Tech wins outright as a big dog, USC covers but had to make things interesting in the second half, Huskies continue to roll as they finally got things rolling in the second half, and lost the second half Under for Wash St/Stanford game.

Illinois St +5.5
Going to take the 5.5 now even though there is a chance it might get to 6 with everyone and their uncle on Bradley, or so it seems. I usually don't pay attention to consensus or anti-consensus stuff, but I think this time around it has some merit. Bradley playing inspired ball since Gilbert returned, no question there. They also beat Illinois St rather handily both meetings this season. Honestly not much going for the Redbirds here except you often see these cellar-dwellar teams play inspired ball once the conference tournament comes around and from reading some press from Illinois St, it sounds like they are geniunely geared-up for this game.

Iona -2
Took a few games for them to get adjusted to the loss of Williams, since then they have gone 3-0 with all those wins coming by double-digits. Gaels have become much more of a 'team', instead of everyone watching Williams shoot 25ft fadeaways, they have much more balance offensively. Guys like Soliver and McCullough have stepped-up nicely. Though he had two subpar games against the Griffins in the regular season, I don't think Canisius has an answer for Jenkins inside. He's a very experienced tournament player and I think he can carry Iona to a couple of wins in this tourney.
