It's funny Gman, you have posted winners here for years and now you play against some homers teams and they have hissy fits...Glad to see you never fall into their childish crap and keep your head up, Stoops has no magic wand but he has a good enough D to keep his team in the game...GL

i never ripped on gman's picks... in fact why would i be in his thread if I didnt respect his picks. I offered a different opinion than the guy. In fact I never even said I was betting ASTATE today.. If you looked at my threads you would see that I rarely bet on ASU and if I do that their is a bias involved. It is known with the SParky avatar.

I wasn't necessarily talking about you...read the post right above mine, acting as if they knew the outcome of th Northwestern and Ariz St games, very mature

"the bunker"
an unspoken rule should be,"never take a homer`s opinion on his home team as gospel....tread with caution"....

you see it time and again....

i love the ravens, but, they stink on offense.....getting better, but, the offense is one of the weakest in the league...

and i have new england this weekend in a teaser....

i love `em,but there`s money involved....

my money!....

lol

why is it so hard to be objective about the home team?.....when money is involved?....

redsfann:

youre 40+ years old. might want to act like it. grow up man. if you want to contribute, by all means go for it. but keep the crap out of this thread. thanks.

devilfan:

72-7 speaks for itself. if youre good enough to be in the top 25 (or the top 15 for that matter), you shouldnt be a whipping boy for ANYBODY. period. i know youre not making outrageous claims (a la scott) but fact still remains that this team is stuck in that 'middle ground' of the conference. theyre clearly better than all the teams below them or even with them. but theyre outclassed by usc and california.

halfbuck:

thanks for the words. already planning on playing toledo once that mac title game line is released. theyre the best team in the mac, and they should prove it in the neutral site revenger next week. miami cant expect toledo to put the ball on the ground as many times as they did in the first meeting.

to all:

yikes. didnt expect a play on arizona to elicit such emotional posts from asu guys and pac10 guys. never said AU was remotely close to a lock. but just feel like stoops will have his guys prepared to compete vs their rival. he was part of a staff that did a (shall we say) semi-decent  job of preparing okie for texas and osu every year. enjoy the game.

just to put the asu/arizona issue to rest (normally dont like to get caught up with any 'fan' aspect of the game. absolutely no agenda on my side. couldnt care less who wins or loses, especially in the pac10. and ive always been a fan of koetter)

that said -- i think today just about puts to rest any lobbying (scott?) for arizona st to be in the top 10. thats laughable. felt all along theyre a fringe top 25 team at best. yes, their SOS is solid. but theyre firmly in that 'middle ground' of the pac10. better than the scrubs, but outclassed by the elite.

oh, and that stoops guy. he can coach a little bit. the days of arizona being a double digit dog are going to be coming to an end soon. two or three yrs from now, zona will be laying the points to asu in this rivalry.

on to saturday. gl boys.

vyrus- glad you got some of arizona. congrats brother.

gman,
I'm with you on the Mac game. If I'm not mistaken, didn't UT have three turnovers, all of which turned into Miami points? Big time revenge with Detroit being a short drive from Toledo!
I hope the Hawaii covers as easily as Arizona. Excellent call!
