also like StL, but not sure if I will play them...

Do you think Houston is ready to get a run going? These guys have been in the same spot the last two years and rallied to make the playoffs - its hard to think they can do it again, but who the hell knows?? they haven't looked good recently and if berkman goes down....I think the WC may come out of the East this year with the Mets making it and maybe the Braves (can never count Braves out - I'd like to see them finally watch from home one year -we need some new blood in the playoffs)...

the Mets haven't lost a home-series-opener yet this year so let's hope they keep that trend going... they're my favorite team also, so anytime I can bet on them I will (but only if it is a strong play and tonight it is my strongest)....

this is the first year i have bet baseball (i have been betting nba & football for a few years...), so i am still learning about all the teams. i devised a purely statistical formula based on approximately 20 offensive components and 10 defensive components. every night i enter in new stats and the spreadsheets compare the teams and pop out numbers and any team with a rating above 1 i will play (tonight mets are above 2) - so i really don't know if houston is going to go on a run, but i hope they win tonight!!


...but if anyone has any tips for me on other important factors that i should consider in my handicapping, i would be most grateful



and i think the mets will win the world series this year, or at least i hope so! :SIB

I'm a Met fan myself, but from the looks of things, they may not get this game in. Pouring right now in NYC.
