Looking at the jays-tigers
Jays very much alive for a wild card berth only 4 games back, while the tigers look to be done for the season.
Tigers lefty mike maroth 10-11 4.61 era
Home record 4-7 5.92 era .310 baa
Jays dave bush 2-6 4.59 era
Road 2-3 4.86 era
These 2 guys met on 8/8/05 in a 9-8 tigers win
both guys looked like crap
Maroth 5.2 innings 10 hits 6 runs
Bush 4.2 innings 10 hits 7 runs
The jays are 7-3 last 10 and won 7 of 9
The jays are hitting .274 against leftys on the season
While there last 10 they are hitting .297 against leftys
They are 6 games over .500
and have won there last 2 road series just taking 2 of 3 from a tough angels team in L.A.
Toronto has just won 3 of 4 last week against the tigers in Toronto
Toronto has won the season series 6 of the last 7 years
Toronto is 31-12 against the tigers since the 2000 season and that includes 15-6 at comerica park.
Toronto starter Dave Bush followed up that poor performance against the tigers with a solid outing against the orioles 8 innings,4 hits and 1 run.Bush has held opponents to three runs or fewer in five of his past six starts.
Maroth looked good in his last outing against the royals(everybody pitches well against the royals)The left-hander had allowed 20 runs and 30 hits in his previous four starts, spanning 19 1-3 innings. Maroth was hit hard by the Blue Jays on Aug. 8, allowing six runs and 10 hits in 5 2-3 innings of Detroit's win, although he didn't get a decision. He is 2-3 with a 7.22 ERA in six career starts against the Jays.

I also like the over in the Cubs-Rockies game.
Prior not looking like the prior we know.
Last 3 (1-1 6.23 era)
6 home runs allowed last 17.1 innings
Prior has pitched an over in his last 5 of his last 6 games 1 push
He has gone over in 2 of 3 starts at coors
BK Kim coming off a bad outing against the Nats
5 innings,9 hits ,6 runs
1-1 last 3 5.21 era
day games 1-5 6.58 era
Lee is 7-18 against Kim with 2 bombs
Nomar should be back in the line up
I look for Kim to get smacked around and also Prior should be good for a handful of runs in the thin air.
