looking at this one....i dont like betting against pitt because i think they are playing good ball....this would be more of a bet against Suppan...

i played against Suppan quite frequently in day games last year and can say it made me some $...in 11 day games last year Suppan was 2-6 ...5.57 era ..1.41 whip and a 243 Baa...in 63 inning pitched he gave up 67 hits...on the road in general his numbers were 5.71...1.48 whip and 267 BAA...

Suppan is 9-28 in road games last 3 seasons
Suppan is 1-8 on artificial turf over last 3 seasons

i played on ROA at home last year and can say he made me some $...on the road his numbers were 5.03 era / 1.42 whip/293 BAA...not good...but look at the drop off at home...2.81 era/ 1.09/ 221 BAA...that is a significant difference ...his munbers in day games bother me a bit 4.03 era/1.50 whip/287 baa...but i dont know how many of those day game starts were on the road vs. home....

in all...i think SUPPAN is a good play against on the road...at least he was for me last year...which is all i have to go on ...



im leaning towards ...phillies minus 130 and maybe the over just in case ROA gets hit...but more so on phillies

like cincy to maybe get a first win here...graves numbers vs. cubs last year ...outstanding...in 2 games 0.95 era..1.05 whip and 234 BAA...in his career he is 7-1 ..3.35 era..1.33 whip and 243 vs. cubbies....

what i found interesting is that in 28 at bats sosa has o home runs and a 217 avg. against graves...

ESTEs was simply horrible on the road...6.93 era ..1.93 whip and 251 BAA ...he gave up 76 hits in 62 innings ....and his night game numbers were worse than day...5.38 ..1.69 whip and 256 BAA..he hasnt pitched against cincy since 2000

if cincy is a small fave...may play them...figuring the number may be low or drop due to the two teams starts

Braves bats silent as can be....in comes Tejera...1 game last year vs. braves...9.00 era ..1.78 whip...256 baa....numbers on the road...5.98..1.50 ..265 baa....think braves score in this one

Marquis at home last year...4.58 era...1.56 whip and 229 BAA....vs florida 1 game...10.50 era..2.33 whip and 355 BAA....think marlins score in this one

Marquis numbers in April last year where down right awful...6.75 era/1.77 whip / 291 BAA

but remember Burkett got off to a great start last year...and finished strong..somewhere in the middle he got tired and fell off...think he starts strong again...

Ponson not very good against us...

Baltimore has a decent lineup...but cant compare to bostons...and just lost a series to TRIBE...a team rebuliding iMO
