Bahamas Bowl

eastern michigan (+5.5) 4 units
emu (ML) 2 units to win 3.6. normally the key in a game like this is motivation. who is enjoying their vacation in the bahamas and who is focused on winning a football game. today there may be no shortage of motivation as odu is playing in their first ever bowl and emu is playing in their second ever and first since 1987. as anyone who reads my posts knows, i've made a lot of money on emu this year and i'm going to keep riding them. one of the things i like best about them is how good they've been away from home. after an early blowout at mizzou, emu went 4-1 SU on the road and 5-0 ATS.
these two teams will probably light it up. neither defense is much to write home about. but i like emu's chances of putting up more points. odu has only faced 2 offenses ranked in the top 50 of total offense this year. in one, they gave up 59 to wku. in the other, they faced southern miss without mullens, and still gave up 35 points. oh, emu is 35th in total offense. roback should have a huge game.

for me, it feels good to be on a dog again. i've been on all chalk since saturday.

emu has been so good to me this year, i can't even get too upset if they lose today.

Armed Forces Bowl

la tech (-7) 2 units. tech is 3rd in the country, putting up 360 yards/game through the air. that does not bode well for a navy defense that gives up 8.44 yards/pass attempt. only 10 teams give up more yards/attempt. hard to say how fired up navy will be today after losing to army for the first time in 400 years.

over (67.5) 3 units. i'm hoping with an extra 2 weeks of practice, abey is going to more closely resemble a capable option qb. i don't see navy getting many stops on defense, and they should be able to put up a few points of their own.

ohio (ML) 1 unit to win 2.2. this game just feels like it's going to be a slugfest. ultimately, i'm taking ohio because it's frank solich against a 1st-year head coach. and because i'm expecting something like 20-17, so i gotta take the dog.

biggest concern... ohio's pass defense wasn't very good this year. if silvers gets going for troy, he may have a big game. and if ohio falls behind, they are fucked.
