I'm on a pretty ugly run right now.

Cotton Bowl

ok st (-2.5) 3 units. going with the least disappointed team to be here. if Missouri won the sec championship game, they'd likely be in the nc game. ok st didn't have a realistic shot at it.

ok st won and covered the last 3 meetings when both were in the big 12. the last meeting was in 2011, so I'd say there's some relevance.

under (61.5) 2 units. all the talk is about these offenses, so I gotta go under. seems a bit low, doesn't it? I hate playing unders when I have questions about each team's motivation, but I think it's the right play here.

Orange Bowl

Orange Bowl

Clemson (ML) 2 units to win 2.3. Clemson may have started the season with nc aspirations, but those were crushed back in October. ohio st just had their nc hopes crushed 4 weeks ago. I don't know how much motivation we'll see from the buckeyes tonight.

over (70.5) 2 units. a less-than-motivated buckeye defense combined with a porous Clemson defense equals a lot of points. ohio st hasn't seen anything like this Clemson offense in at least a few years.

I see alot of people posting that Missouri doesn't want to be here, I just don't get it. If I recall correctly, Mizzou didn't even go to a bowl last year, so I would think the Seniors would be motivated to go out on a high note especially Franklin. I like the under play, two good coaches and two teams that can control the ball, but like you I detest is playing unders in bowl games.

hey, mc, how's it going?

I completely agree that if Missouri was told at the beginning of the season, "you will be in the cotton bowl", obviously they would have been ecstatic after the season they had last year. but I think it's incredibly difficult for college kids to be one game away from playing for the national championship and not suffer a big letdown in their next game. I mean, that was the game of their lives and they gave up 545 yards rushing. that's gotta tear the heart out of a team.

motivation aside, I simply don't think the tigers are all that good. I think they caught a lot of breaks to get to the sec championship game. they didn't play Alabama or lsu. they beat an injury-riddled Georgia team. they beat what I feel is a very overrated texas a&m team (although holding them to 21 points was impressive). and they completely collapsed in the game against south carolina.

I expect ok st to be a lot more prepared for this game. and they handled missouri fairly well as conference opponents.
