Stuckey was a one-time UW recruit who led Kentwood High School to the 4A state championship in 2004. Williams played at Franklin, shared in the 4A title in 2003, and spent one season at Highline Community College.
The Eagles, patiently being rebuilt by former Washington State assistant Mike Burns, have been in every game except one, getting roughed up by USC on a neutral floor in the Great Alaska Shootout, losing 69-51.
"This is the first time we've gone into a really hostile environment," Burns said.
A certain Pac-10 player if not for his high school grades, Stuckey gives his team a marquee talent and could make things interesting for the Huskies if he gets hot. He had 30 points in his previous outing against UC Riverside, 25 the game before against Cal State Northridge.
"We really wanted Rodney Stuckey," Romar said. "We thought he was a very good basketball player."
"I'm looking forward to this game," Stuckey said. "I'm looking forward to playing in a game with big-time athletes."
