I understand that the quality of starting pitchers the Tigers are bringing to Fenway this weekend is not stellar, however, I can't fathom how this Boston team can favored to win a series against anybody at this point. Sox starters in this series will be equally bad and we should expect some high scores, although there may be some issues with rain tonight. As has been well documented on this forum and in the media, the Red Sox have been horrible in the second half, so far. I will be looking for ways to back this Tigers team this weekend, who are fighting for a chance to stay in the playoff race. Whether the reports in the press are true or not, this team should be playing with a fire under their butts knowing that the front office will be sellers in a few days if they can't find a way to get to .500 or better very soon. DET +130 is more than fair for the series price and I would even take it as low as +110, albeit for a slightly smaller unit size.
