Kansas City area for who knows how long....
WA at Boston..........................

Last 10 meetings all went under! 2 meetings this season, each winning on home ice.

WA 5-13-3 away. Boston 13-8 at home.

WA 4-2-2 last 10. Boston 6-4. But last Boston game, a tired loss to Leafs, was first home game after successful road trip with bad travel at end.

WA important defensman Witt looks like he will be out. Re-injured himself.

WA scoring more. Jagr has 5 goals and 11 points in last nine games.

NYR at Pittsburg.....................

Poor Pitt (boy, I'm listening to NJ/Phx game over 'net. Exciting 4-3 game now!) Pitt 8-1-1 last ten games. The win and tie were both against WA. Penguins seem to be just waiting for Lemieux's return.

Pitt 7-2-1 last ten vs NYR. Hedberg will start, he's played against NYR only once. It was this season, and with it he recorded his second of four shutouts.

Lindros claims he will play tonight.

NYR ending 7 game road swing at Pitt. A win will make it a winning trip. Won the first three with flukes and bad play. But played Colorado thurs real hard and well. Rested since then. Get three days rest after tonight's game.

Vancouver at Edmonton.................

Oilers 11-3-2 vs Vancouver last four seasons. 1-0-1 this season. They just got leading scorer Smyth back and real confident.

Cloutier is 0-3-1 in goal vs Oilers, 3.83 gga, .882 pct. Salo is 8-9-3 vs Van, 3.22, .878 pct.

Both goalies have given up 2 goals in each of last four games, except Salo gave up one in last.

Last 10 meetings, 7 were decided by one goal. One tie. Only 2 by two or more goals. Canbet line, Van +1.5 -174. Van playing better lately.

Devils at Carolina.............

NJ 4-2 over Canes in quarterfinals last April. Carolina had 2 one-goal wins, one at home, one away.

Barrasso just off his worst outing of season, got pulled for first time this season. He should then be quite concentrated tonight. (Sharks 5-3 now!! Dampenhousse hasn't scored in last 10 games!). sorry about that diversion.

Barrasso 11-11-2 vs NJ, 3.36 gga, .892 pct.
Brodeur 16-5-4 vs Carolina, 2.09 gga, .911 pct.

NJ's play in last game was publicly criticized by coach, and booed by crowd. They haven't had two losses in row in last 16 games. Canes just lost, and haven't had two in a row in last 13.

Montreal at Calgary..................

Habs 6-12-2 away
Flames 12-6-4 at home

Calgary 2-0-1 last 3, all at home. Montreal 0-4 last four, all on road--Edmonton tomorrow, then MN tuesday to complete 7 game road swing.

LA at NYI.......................

NYI 5-4-1 last 10. LA is 6-2-2 last 10.

Palffy and Schneider are back. LA always plays better with these guys on board. Both used to play for NYI, as did goalie Potvin.

Potvin 4-2-0 vs NYI, 3.24 gga, .885 pct.
Osgood 9-7-4 vs LA, 2.63 gga, .900 pct.

Juicy canbet line: LA +1.5 -189. LA has had just 2 losses in last 12, both one goal. Now Palffy and Schneider back. Last 10 meetings of these teams 5-5, but only two of LA losses more than 1.5 goals. LA has won the last 3, all in 2000. But that's the old loser NYI team. Yes, -189 is lotta juice, but very good percentage play I figure.

Dallas at STL...........................

STL is 6-1-3 last 10 vs Dallas, most from quarterfinals earlier this year.

Dallas 10-6-2 on road. STL 14-5-1 at home. One meeting this year at STL ended 2-2.

Stars official site sez Belfour in goal against Blues. (Turco tues in TB). Belfour 15-17-8 vs STL, 2.72 gga, .901 pct.

STL paper sez Johnson getting his first career start against Dallas tonight.

Dallas defenseman Lukowich out.
